He was always going to opt out. He meant take less money like instead of signing for 5 or 6 million somewhere else, he may stay in LA for 4.5 mil. No way was he going to return on 1.5 million next year.
Nobody gets along with Kobe, people tolerate him but very few(fisher, Gasol) may actually get along with him.Lakers

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I would probably do that trade if I was Sac. I mean, why not? This roster is so far from contending in the West, I would go ahead and do it. If they're gonna be bad, they may as well be entertaining. And who knows, maybe this somehow works out very well for them. As long as they have no plan to play Smith at the 3, I don't really see this trade making them worse in any way.
I would take the trade if I was Detroit as well. Free up room for your starting front court of Monroe and Drummond, while bringing in a couple bench guys.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
My point is that there aren't tons of those "types of players" sitting around the league. The Mavs already have a budget version of those two in Dalembert anyways.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NBA: Dallas Mavericks
MLB: Texas Rangers
NHL: Dallas Stars
NCAA: Alabama Crimson Tide

Yeah that would be something really nice to see. Lebron playing for Jordan on the newly reformed Hornets...wow but of course no way that happens.-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Man I was just saying that what's best behind Dirk is a guy like Tyson and not a guy like Pau. That's all lol. They're too similar in my opinion. And they don't compliment each other on defense, at all. Now offensively I'am sure you would get some flashes of awesome ball movements. No doubt.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Let's play the hypothetical game, and say LeBron bails, and Bosh decides he doesn't want to stick around in Miami and opts out as well.
What do you guys think he commands on the open market? I see a lot of the NBA guys on twitter saying that he's going to get a max deal from somewhere, but I'm not sure if I see it.Last edited by Sportsbuck; 06-24-2014, 10:07 PM.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
So unless someone comes through with some no brainer deal then all I ask is that the Cavs stand pat and take Wiggins. I'm prepared to be disappointed tomorrow though.
EDIT: BTW if Joe Johnson can get a max contract then Chris Bosh sure as hell can (and would) too.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I don't even consider Joe Johnson pay a big deal anymore . He was the best SG in the playoffs IMO .
He's super clutch and shoots well. He's lived up to his Brooklyn contract better than DWill has.Last edited by Rockie_Fresh88; 06-25-2014, 08:05 AM.#1 Laker fan

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
His pay is irrelevant because Mikhail doesn't give two ****s about the luxury tax.
However, neither Williams or Johnson have come anywhere close to earning their contract. $21 million a year for a guy whose PER was 122nd in the entire league. Eww.
I'm already tired of this off-season though. Just ready for all the FA options we had to spurn us so we can get back to basketball. Ready to see Rose back on the court.Last edited by JODYE; 06-25-2014, 08:32 AM.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles
