Hahaha its definitely a mixed opinion right now. Having Chandler back is nice for sentimental reasons but if he plays like he did last year or has more injury problems, its gonna be upsetting. Hopefully coming back to Dallas and a more cohesive team and organization will help him get back to his 2012-13 form.
I like Calderon a lot but losing his contract is definitely a plus. His play definitely wasn't worth what were paying him. Ellington was a virtual non-factor all season so losing him doesn't bother me. I would be more upset about Dalembert going but Chandler is a better version of him anyways. Losing Larkin is eh, I think he has some potential but I don't really see him as more than a backup. And the Mavs are awful in the draft so losing two second round draft picks doesn't bother me.
Right now, I'd say the trade is a positive for the Mavs, but I HATE HATE HATE having to take Felton back. Hopefully he doesn't end up being our starter this year or we might be going right back to 2012-13 ways where we couldn't even throw the ball in to Dirk on the post.
This trade would leave Dallas with only one point guard so I'm curious what they would be doing there. I think bringing on two guys Melo is familiar with is part of a push to bring him on.
