I would guess that you have no children. Correct???

Who is responsible to train/rasing a child? The media, the athletes or parents/guardian?

Another childless one I would assume....
Yes, parents raise children....
Yes, athletes should not be left as #1 rolemodels...
However, the NBA has chosen to market KG in that way. He is a good person. The MVP Trophy is in good hands with KG. Squeeky, squeeky....
Then parents try to instill in their children the facts about life and war and things of that sort. It becomes all too real with the reality of the news today. You teach your child the seriousness of things like that, then yet another idiot comes on the TV spewing mindless rhetoric about guns and violence.
P.S. No one ever said it was KG's responsibility to raise someone's child. It is however his and the NBA's responsibility to not sell the public one bill of goods and then pull the rug out just because he had his manhood put in question on the court.
Finally, you are in no place to have this conversation until you have children. Period.

I have a 12 year old son!!

And each time that happen you as parent reinforce the message on reality !!

Ahhhh... but what message does that send? Every other outlet in the world except Daddy is saying guns, guns, war, guns, kill, guns, guns.... Daddy is in the minority.
Either way, my bottomline for the first post is don't sell the NBA as "FAN-tastic" as in For The Fan.... because the FAN... the 25-54 Male Demo that is so attractive has kids. Kids that like to watch the game with Dad.
And, the NBA and his sponsor try to sell the same demographic that KG is a good man. The MVP. Then this....
I respect the guy for coming out and apologizing for his comments.
My retort to your original comment though is....do you have to shield your child 100% of the time from media, sports, and entertainment to be a good parent??? Absolutely not. Those outlets don't raise (or train as you put it) my child, but they shape them.
