Brian Grant WILL PLAY PF in the West.

He is a PF, forced to play C by the Heat.

He can hit the 17 gt jumper, rebound VERY well and plays non stop D.

He's played that EXACT ROLE very well for Portland.

    Payton
    Kobe
    Odom
    Grant
    ??

    Bench
    Fisher
    Walton
    Butler

It's a Bulls like team, with Kobe having all the pieces he needs.

LA has enough extra chips to land a defense C at some point.

Miami just threw away a promising team (who were almost best in the L for the last 20 games) for a 32 year old Shaq, who'll get slower and slower AND who gives them no cap rook to get anyone for years.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

fisher wants to be a starter, the lakers have nobody who can shot from outside very well except for kobe and they have no center
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

they also have rush george and medvedenko. But I got 20 bucks that says Dampier is in a Lakers uni next season. And for Jon Barry to sign the Veterans Exception because chances are that Fisher is a rocket next season. On the chance they can keep fisher (and dont need barry) then I would like to see Karl Malone back.

So here is alook at LAL lineup next season

      Payton - Vujacic - Barry
      Kobe - Rush - Barry
      Odem - Butler - George
      Grant - Walton
      Dampier - Slava

thats is a good squad. of course alot of it hinges on where FAs go but it is a likely team for LAL

                  Re: SHAQ ACCEPTS TRADE!!!!!

I can guarentee that 1 month ago, not a single person on this board would have called a Shaq for Odom, Grant, and a 1st round pick trade an advantage for the Lakers.

Who are the Lakers getting for Shaq, The Most Dominant Player in the game?

Brain Grant: undersized center with a gigantic contract

1st round draft pick:Two years or so ago, a 1st round draft pick from the Heat would have been great. Now it is most likely useless.

Lamar Odom: Very Talented, but I won't forget him as a Clipper. He reminds me of an Isaiah Rider type of player. Extremely talented, but has already had his off-court issues. He's really got to prove himself in my eyes.

you're forgetting Butler who is a very good player, and the fact that the pick isn't until 2006 when shaq will be 400lbs and the heat will not be good at all besides Wade. so it will be a decent pick.
