i think this would be a good trade for the lakers. except they wouldn't have a big man or a great outside shooter

Then they have a big problem my friend, especially in the west.

Caron Butler packaged with a pick may get them something. LA suddenly has a lot of options.
Miami, WTF are you thinking?

They aren't. Their starting 5 (well... Wade, Odom, Butler) have an EXTREME bright future in the L.... the have chemistry, some playoff experience among other things. In 2 or 3 years, they could easily be fighting for the World Championship. I hate GMs that just can't WAIT. Hate it, hate it.

In 2-3 years if they had the same team without Shaq,Indiana and Detroit would still be better..And by that time(hopefully) Eddie Curry will be the new Shaq and the Bulls will be back to their winning ways(

heck even in 3 years,Chris Bosh might be the next KG!And Lebron might be the best player in the game...The whole East will be better in 3 years..Even the Hawks may get to the playoffs..Or what about Division foes Lando and Wash...Howard and Brown should be stars by then...
you see,yes the future is nice and you should nver morgage it for a quick fix...But this is Shaq we're talking about not,Shareef Abdur Rahim or Chris Webber...
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
That will never ever happen
