Take out Butler, and throw in the rights to Dorell Wright. Then the deal goes down.

Either Dorell or another rumored name out there is Malik Allen (who is actually pretty decent)
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

If the Heat are trying to win now instead of later by getting Shaq, then they should give Dorell instead of Caron because Caron has a bigger immediate impact.

Now how can we as messageboard geeks know this yet Pat Riley by all given indications doesnt seem to?

ODom, Butler, Grant and perhaps pick? Sounds good for the Lakers.

Why the heat would do this is beyond any comprehension. Shaq and eddie jones, didn't work the last time. People forget that the Lake show once had a team of four all stars (Eddie Jones, Van Excel, Shaq, and Kobe) that team had a hell of time against the Jazz. Fast forward 7 years and what's different? Shaq is nowhere near the dominant force he was in the late 90's.

When wade is relegated to standing 20 feet from the basket dumping the ball in to shaq, how do you think his game is going to look?

How long does it take before Phil Jackson is the coach?

As for the Lakers, they get rid of shaq and keep Kobe. They pick up some decent enough players enough to keep them in the playoff hunt.

The west is now Spurs and T-wolves. The kings are done, the mavericks are done, and the rockets/grizzlies/jazz/lakers will all be interesting.

Now the Lakers lack a big man in the big man conference. Guys, is it too early to say that the Lakers big man is playing in Houston for the time being? hmmm.
