Re: Boozer says he didnt make an agreement with the Cavs

Whether he did, or whether he didn't, I certainly think that we can still be as strong if we make a few signings, and/or trades. I would love to get Nazr Mohammed from the Knicks (which was talked about) because seeing him through college, he always gave 110% much like Boozer, and he is a fairly talented player. Granted, we will need more than him, and would love to see them offer Swift the full MLE, but I doubt it will happen.

KDRE, what do you think would best benefit the Cavs? We usually see eye-to-eye on things, and I haven't really thought too much about it yet...

As far as what Dub T? You mean in the sense of keeping Boozer or letting him go?

Actually more on who is still out there and available for what the cavs have available to offer. I have a feeling that there is a very faint chance at getting Boozer to come back. This whole ordeal has been pretty rough trashing one another.

Ive already thrown my .02 in in the other thread, but that is the EXACT thing we learned in law class last semester. Oral contract dont mean [censored]. Get it in writing, so its legal. The Cavs took a chance and even if Boozer stabbed them in the back, they have no legal bearing (ethical, yes) but in court they will loose.

Hopefully the Cavs managment learned a lesson, and maybe its just me, but I have a hard time trusting any one who makes that much money, better yet his agent whos main interest is $$$$$$$$$

                  A couple of things here:

                  1. His agent resigned, quit, forced resignation, whatever you want to call it. The Agency Company sure didn't agree with it.

                  2. From what I've read, there are a lot of oral/ethical agreements reached between player/agent/team in all team sports. Boozer just dug his own hole. I'm sure he'll have trouble finding an agent to represent him that is well respected throughout the league.

                  3. You can call the team stupid, gullible, they got what they deserved, or whatever you want, but I'm guessing that a person of Boozer's character won't play with the same heart and drive that he did last year now that he's "got his".

                  <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

                  1. His agent "resigned" after he got Boozer the big bucks, and I bet you he got a decent pay check (They usually get 4% so he didnt do to bad for himself) If his agent was forced away from this agency, thats one thing. HE WASNT. He simply doesnt represent Boozer anymore.

                  2. Like I said, there may be a lot of oral agreements, ut legally, they will NEVER hold up. And trust me, some one will represent him. They may be slimey, but the bottom line is if there is $$ they can be represented.

                  3. I never said he was stupid or got what he deserved. I actually feed bad for the whole organziation. All I said was hell think twice before making his next oral agreement. Oral doesnt mean [censored], for it to be valid it needs to be on paper.

If they're going to lose him for sure, they should try a sign and trade with utah to get someone, even if that player can't help it should at least be someone they can trade for another piece.

There's not alot out there now, so a trade would probably be their best if they want to get another cog in the mix with LeBron. I mean the only bigs left are like Etan Thomas and Brian Skinner in Free agency, and they arent that exciting, but better than nothing. I like Thomas more than Skinner. He hustles alot more.

Maybe they can find another position to compliment Lebron in besides PF because all the teams in the L need that. I'd at least give it a shot at some guys for a trade like Stro.

Has Stro signed back on with the Grizz yet? I wouldn't mind seeing Etan come to the Cavs because he is a garbage player, and usually gives his all. He has decent hands, and think he could flourish alongside of Lebron. He won't be Boozer, or Stro, but he would be a nice pickup if we could get him.

Since Utah frontloaded Boozers contract, there isn't much of a way to sign and trade him is there?

Has Stro signed back on with the Grizz yet? I wouldn't mind seeing Etan come to the Cavs because he is a garbage player, and usually gives his all. He has decent hands, and think he could flourish alongside of Lebron. He won't be Boozer, or Stro, but he would be a nice pickup if we could get him.

Since Utah frontloaded Boozers contract, there isn't much of a way to sign and trade him is there?
