Exactly. Boozer has to say "I didn't have no contract talks with the Cavs". It would be stupid of him to say, "Yeah, we had a verbal agreement, but I tricked them guys "

But as far as Wagner goes, so far in the preseason, he has not done much. Last season, he did not do much. Silas doesn't really care that much for him from what I heard, and is likely to trade him elsewhere for a backup big.

I still like the deal to the Knicks, with Z for Nazr and Kurt Thomas, but I don't know about their contracts. How many more years would we have to pay Kurt?

You mentioned a sign-and-trade with Utah before. That wouldn't happen just because the Cavaliers have less cap room. But what Boozer reportedly said is just frustrating for Cleveland. I'd try to clear room to match Utah's offer even if they don't want Carlos anymore. You can always trade him, but please don't just let the Jazz have him.
After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!

I said that because they are trying to clear room right now. Sign and trade is just a scenario to get something instead of nothing. I think Carlos is gone reguardless. He wants out for whatever reason seems like. They aren't at a total loss though, they can do things if they work hard at it.

SI.COM SAID: Rob tried to get Carlos to do the right thing," said a source close to SFX, claiming that Pelinka -- not Tellem -- chose to dissolve the relationship after it became clear that he could not convince Boozer to re-sign with Cleveland as Boozer reportedly promised.

By resigning as Boozer's representative, the source confirmed that Pelinka and SFX will sacrifice their $2.7 million commission should Boozer commmit to Utah. The source added that this was the first time SFX had dissolved its relationship with a player under these circumstances.

Heres my question...If the agent was there...and it happened as Boozer said....why would the agent try to convince him to sign?

So lets see...the organization says he indcated he would re-sign...and the agent fallout indicates that the AGENT WAS ALSO UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT HE HAD GIVEN HIS WORD TO SIGN, AND THE AGENT WAS THERE!!!! Booze is full of crap, and he's now trying desperately to cover his arse and play innocent.

Ask yourself: What agency would give up 3 mill in commision if the CAVS were the ones lying?

They are giving it up because the long term effect will cost more than their commission. Pelinka is covering his butt too. Let's not forget Pelinka played ball w/the Fab 5. We know what kind of Boy Scouts they are. SI says Pelinka will part ways w/his agency after the Kobe deal is through. I doubt that would happen if Loozer went behind his agent's back.

I'm sure Loozer's camp gave every indication that they would sign for the mid-level exception & then went for the money. Seeing how Pelinka is Bryant's agent as well & looking @ the goings on in LA, it shouldn't be much of a shock.
