Relax man, it wasn't meant to be taken literally lol.

Still don't think it's a deep race because in the end, it'll come down to 2-3 playrrs(Max)like it usually does.

Oh I agree with that. Once playoff seedings start to take place we'll pretty much have our guy.

I wish the MVP race factored in how players look during the first round of the playoffs, especially since anyone who missed the post season won't get considered anyways. Possibly the NBA and All-Defensive teams too... Not saying the playoffs need to be the deciding factor, but we all know how much different playoff basketball is from regular season. It would be nice if it was just a small portion of the voting process.. Although the award is a regular season award by definition.

Keep playoff performance separate from MVP voting as far as possible since the MVP is rewarding you for what you did in the regular season. That's the same mess idiots want in the NFL.

I like how no one is having this season where if you didn't think they were mvp you are crazy. I remember thinking that there was no way Curry could win MVP and look at him now

I just think there's a big grey area between finals MVP and regular season MVP that doesn't get any recognition.. Say for example Harden won this years MVP, and then takes 10 threes a night and settles for poor decisions and loses in the first round like he did last year.

I don't even know why I'm even giving this a thought honestly. It's really not a big deal lol.

Marc Gasol is still my pick for MVP. He could arguably be the DPOTY and is having a career year offensively. I don't think Harden or Curry have the impact on defense that Gasol does.

                3. James

A lot can still change form now to the end of the year but I think curry and harden are easily 1 and 2. Cavs even though they have played a lot better latly 21 losses already is a lot for them so I think that hurts them a lot. Now If cavs go on another streak or 2 of wining 12 games in a row that could help a lot.

I think this is how it will end up and rightfully so.

Gotta go with Harden with Davis at 2 and Curry and LeBron dark hoarse candidates

Curry is the MVP most likely unless his team undergoes a Pacers-like collapse. Westbrook is playing great but OKC won't be high enough in the standings. Davis has missed a lot of games and his team isn't in the playoffs, and Harden will probably come in second place, although it'll be close. I think in the end Curry's winning because 1. They're the top seed and 2. Curry is just more likable than Harden and that plays a significant role

It's kind of funny and kind of refreshing that nobody's talking about Lebron... he's most definitely in the mix.

I was just about to post about Lebron. I honestly don't think Curry is the MVP. I'd vote for Harden over Curry if I had to pick someone other than Lebron. Cavs played horrible basketball when Lebron took his 2 weeks off. Since then they've been one of the best, if not the best team in the league. I'd pick him as my MVP.

He's ballin right now.. If he outplays every big matchup, like last night with Curry, from here on out there isn't really a reason for him not to win it.

How do you guys see Westbrooks chances? I would put him 5th right now, but if he keeps up that crazy statlines and OKC makes the playoffs you could make a real case for him.

Josh Smith. I've never seen one guy make so much of a difference on a team in such a short amount of time.

He's in the mix but he won't win it unless he goes on a superhuman tear like he did in 2013. The fact that before he sat out he looked really out of sorts really hurts his MVP case, even though he wasn't 100%. I think Curry and Harden have sustained their high level of play from the start of the season and because of that consistency that puts them both ahead of Lebron.

If the Cavs can overtake Atlanta, then I might think twice. But as of now while Lebron is still by far the best player in the world, he hasn't had the best season in the NBA.
