Perry Jones right now could be a starter on a really good team. Jodye pretty much said everything but to also add that he's perfect for the trend of switching a bunch to counteract the increase in 3 point shooting (the Warriors style defense). He can guard 2-4 no problem and could even switch out on a 1 or 5 in a pinch (late shot clock etc). Really happy he's going to such a smart coach in Stevens.

        Lol this BS again.

I'm indifferent on the trade. Don't think it makes them that much better than what they are and I think he is what he is at this point, based on what I've seen on him over the last few years.

And I'll add the obligatory ***Blame Scott Brooks just because and still bring up the trade of Michael Lebron James Harden years later***.

And Ty Lawson has been arrested for a 2nd time on suspicion of DUI and the Kings are interested in FA Matt Bonner as well.

          There you go.

Brooks isn't relevant here when talking about a player who just spent the better portion of 3 years being forgotten by him?

Or are you just being anti again for the sake of it? lol

I just don't go along with the suggestion that Brooks is mainly to blame for Jones' struggles outside of his health. And this is coming from one of the few who supported Jones on here during those years while everyone else said he'd be out the league in 4 years because of his health issues.

If that's "being anti for the sake of being anti" then sure....why not.

Saying that Brooks isn't one of the main reasons would be being anti, seeing most feel that Jones was abandoned for no real reason after returning from his injury.

But irrelevant now, seeing he'll be under a coach who actually has an idea of how to construct an offense and use all assets on his roster.

Could they have given max contracts to Harden, Westbrook and KD?

How often did they play together?

Enough touches to justify max contracts for all 3, on top of the money they'd have had to pay ibaka and either Reggie or whomever he was traded for?

It's not(unless you want to be technical, in which case you'd be right. But then again, we're all anti on everything on here going by that). I just know that both parties are to blame for it and not going to necessarily assign most of the blame to one side. But it is what it is at this point.

I just don't think he'll thrive much more than what he shown before. Probably safe to say he basically is what he is at this point especially considering late round picks don't usually make significant leaps in their games this far down the road in their careers.

Well to be fair he's only been in the league 3 years. Wouldn't consider that that far down the road but I can see what you are saying.

It's funny you mention the late round thing, seeing Gerald Wallace, another late round pick didn't become a real factor on any roster until maybe his 4th-5th year in the league and he is still on the roster. I still think he has a chance if he can stay healthy and he just went to a perfect place for him.

tho i see your point, to be fair dfish was a more consistent threat from 3(39% his last year if im not mistaken) and was still a solid defender. Jones outside j was inconsistent, even tho he was/is a really good defender.

Gerald Wallace didn't have Bad Knees in his 20s when he came into the league.

Because we all know if you have bad knees when you're young AND coming into the league, they don't get any better. They're always going to be an issue.

The latest injury wasn't because of his bad knees though and the year before I don't believe he missed any game because of injury.
