Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Haha, a significant amount of these guys go bankrupt after their careers are over, so I doubt they save any money for a lockout.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Maybe I'm lost but after watching the video(didn't come off like he was complaining or that he was looking for sympathy) and hearing what was asked and how he said it, what's wrong with what he said?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
I just realized LeBron had been to the finals 5 years in a row. Wow I'm sure he'll get in again in 2016. Hell maybe win 3 more.

If this happens Dre, hook me up. I'm sure there's plenty enough for both of us to support our family. LolTwitter - WTF_OS

Man, you got cousins you've never seen coming from Aunts you met once. Old friends coming back at you. Trap girls looking for hush money. Momma needs a new house and car. Daddy needs a new wife. You know your baby momma just can't get by in her old clothes and shoes anymore.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
But like I said, judging from how he was saying it from his tone and what he was saying based on the video(context is key)he wasn't coming off as if he was struggling to take care of his family ala Sprewell or complaining or even begging for sympathy...he was answering a question.
Again, I get why us folk that don't have 7 figures in our bank account don't want to hear it...I just don't think he should be getting criticized for it just because.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
I haven't seen the video of his comments, but I doubt he feels like he doesn't have it good. I'm assuming he was asked about taking less to go to LA than what he could have gotten from other teams and he was merely commenting on the impact of that decision.
I know it's cool to the play the 'you have all this money and we don't, shut up' game when rich people say stuff like this, but I mean...there are some things that change and come with that money. For starters being in that higher tax bracket and then taking a paycut and still being in that same bracket, not to mention the cities that tax you for playing there as a visitor. Agent and lawyer fees, the fact that nowadays you pretty much have to move into a super expensive neighborhood or apartment building cause ignorant fools won't let you stay in the places you might have grown up or other cheaper areas for security reasons, etc.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Yeah it was a weird question to answer in the first place. She basically asked why he wanted to join the Clippers, if DeAndre had anything to do with it, and then threw in why he took the minimum.
And his answer was the roster is great, and money wasn't a huge factor. The only reason he brings up his family is because he then goes on to talk about how he'd like to get something long term after this year, which is a given. It was more a response to the 1 year deal than the amount of money in the contract it seemed. Like you guys said, he's not crying victim.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

King I was just answering Pack.
Pack he wasn't malicious about it and not even Spreewell esque, but the average person never wants to hear it because it shows how out of touch you are, period with the family comments.
Without the rest of the stuff I just posted
In short, how about be grateful for what you have, then you'll most likely get more.... you're on a winning team in a large market with great teammates and making millions. C'mon broMigoComment
