    thats good news

a couple few years ago , back when Jalen Rose was on the squad , i thought ECity should have got the ball a lot more. Curry led the league in FG% but only had like 11pts (to lazy for nba.com at this hour-but thats the general idea...).

I stand strong by the theory that when you got a player shooting a high percentage , that the team needs to go through that player until the percentage starts to drop.
Its kind of like trial and error to find the highest rate of efficiency, but basketball aint that complicated. Go to the hot hand. It could be any position and in different ways. For example anyone shooting 50% from the floor is a great go to option... , anyone shooting 40% from three should get the maximum shots until that percentage starts to drop(the reason he shot 40% from 3 is he got good looks, so u can't just force a lot extra , but you look for him more...), anyone shooting near 50% from the perimeter 15-18foot jumpers is a good go to guy because that forces the D to scramble and opens the paint up...

Often times though, if the player is a bigman and doesn't happen to be a "star" on the team , the guards will continue to dominate the offense and take the bulk of shots. Basketball is naturally a guard oriented game (they have the ball in their hand) and A lot of coaches aren't good enough to get control of their players. They just let them run wild. The guards simply get into the running fastbreak game and take their share in the half-court game and neglect the option of the bigman. That was the case some of the time a couple few years ago in chicago. I think it was Cartwright coaching , but most coaches would have a hard time getting Jalen Rose (who was playing for a new contract) to stop jacking up the dam ball and slow it down and go to the guy (Curry) who happened to be on pace to and did win the FG% crown... (who knows if cartwright even recognized that offense should flow through the high percentage? There are not a lot of great coaches)

When i watched Curry this past year , his game had regressed. He wasn't as spirited as when i had seen him earlier. Getting in shape is a needed boost to his career. He is tough to stop one-on-one in the paint. Being in good shape would also help his rebounding and defense - 2 areas that really need improvement.

Replace Jalen Rose with Gilbert Arenas/Larry Hughes, Cartwright with Eddie Jordan, and you have Kwame Brown's situation.....He should really be the focal point, but I think (like the bulls) we'll have to go through another losing season before we get a coach who understands that, or we lose Kwame....
