I didn't watch a ton of Thunder games this season, but people are really this sold on Steven Adams? I keep seeing people talk about him like he's the 3rd member of the OKC Big 3.

The same people here talking about how they messed up trading Ibaka and not bringing back Waiters(which is essentially what bringing in Oladipo does)are the same ones who just a few months ago were saying Ibaka needs to be moved and were the same ones saying his defense fell off and he brings nothing to the Offensive table other than jacking up 3s.

But now they're saying they messed up trading him while also being the same ones that were praising and hyping up Adams all during the playoffs. But nobody is saying he's the new member of the Big 3 but that a combo of him and Kanter(another one who received praise here)can replace what they're losing with Ibaka.

I think that's being misrepresented in your post. That statement about Ibaka was all about the Harden trade, which when you look at it.

They basically got rid of both Harden and Ibaka and ended up with Oladipo for it.

They were being cheap, and Ibaka didn't progress nearly as well as Harden did, and this is just looking at them without considering they moved him to being a spot up 3-point shooting 4th option.

Newark is Brick City lol. In all honesty, it would be ridiculous if Brooklyn were to sign him to the max. He's an upgrade but not worth it

Philly has like 4 or 5 NBA players to their name. If anyone can afford to throw a max at Barnes, it's them. They need bodies.

Crazy thing is I still believe he can turn it around and get back to the guy he was prior to the last 3-4 weeks of the playoffs.


And ya'll remember the Banana Boat mess from last offseason with Bron, Wade and Paul? CP3 having a little fun with it again this year:

I don't think Derrick is going down though to be honest. Notice his knees were fine last year. Derrick's biggest issue last year was Taj Gibson smashing his friggin eye in on the first day of training camp (accident, but dammit Taj). He missed games for rest and "general soreness" sure, but how's that any different from Dwyane Wade over the years? Or what Pop does with his guys throughout the year? LeBron's maintenance breaks every year recently? The only reason it's news when Derrick sits out to keep him right for later is because of his previous injuries. I think the major knee issues are behind him, it's just a matter of being able to get out there for a long stretch to get his timing back right. Dudes just expected him to start playing games at or very near MVP Rose level after basically missing two years of basketball like they're really 2K characters.

Exactly. People say he missed over 200 games in the last 3-4 years which is obviously bad. but the flip side is that dude is only 27 and has less mileage on his body due to sitting out all those games.

Dwyane Wade/Heat contract talks have stalled and his agent is letting the league know that Wade will be available this summer.

Honestly, I only see Wade with Miami or Cleveland. Don't think he'll sign with anyone else.

Does less mileage on his body really even count in this case? Considering he was missing time because his body was broken lol.

Regardless, I think he can turn things around a bit with a fresh start.

I just read something that said that if they don't get Durant(lol) they will go after Barnes and a big from Noah, Gasol, West, or Mozgov. Hopefully it's as wrong as it sounds.
