Oladipo's excitement level went from 100 to 0 real quick.

I just think that there needs to be more parity and balance in the NBA. No team should be allowed 5 all stars let alone 3 superstars. I don't know how you stop it but it kinda makes the ref season pointless and the playoffs when you know it's going to come down to three or four teams that can win it all. In every other sport almost every team can say they can complete with the best out there.

Maybe when the cap went up so much pct wise they should have just raised every other players salary by that much. Bc KD couldn't get 25 million had that been the case.

I don't mind the Jennings signing. 1 year 5 mill is about as low risk as you can ask for

That Knicks team man. Doesn't make much sense, sorry.

And the NBA still has the best and fair system. NFL just gets you the most money upfront while Baseball is the Wild West.
Striking a balance between player fairness and league parity is tough, but as far as league parity goes, I'd argue the NBA is far and away the worst of the 3.

                Jennings we'll see.

But how doesn't the starting line up make sense? The pieces fit really well imo.

I guess in the end it will probably only wind up being one year of dominance bc they won't be able to keep all their stars on the roster bc they can all get max contracts everywhere else. Unless of course gsw just goes way over the cap.

The sequence of events that allowed this to happen are basically impossible to replicate. You don't build a CBA based on this shooting star *** outcome.

Curry ankles' contract, Dray signing below market, Klay deal falling through, Harden trade, OKC's injury luck (the worst ever), Durant not getting an opt out in his first deal (if he's a FA last summer, GS doesn't have the space), the cap spike. And that's without getting into the actual basketball stuff (basically 2 consecutive 3-1 leads had to evaporate).

This is some real Halley's comet ****. You couldn't prevent it if you tried.

Btw, is the NBA avg player now making more than a mlb or NFL player? Seems like it with garbage players making 10 mil a season.

This is Iggy and Livingston's last year anyway. They'll be under the cap enough to max out Durant and still re-sign Curry. They'll be over after that but the core will be together for minimum the next 3 years assuming Durant stays (and he obviously plans to).

Here's the rub: parity isn't *actually* what people want in the NBA. The league has always been at it's peak when there were juggernauts.

Made more sense 5 years ago. Are they hoping to contend for a title with that squad in 2016 ? I guess they have to be.

NBA needs to give the small market teams more cap space than the bigger name markets lol and I would put SA and GSW under big market teams considering their success. SA always seems to get players to sign because of Pop and and the culture of the team. GS success isn't as good as SA obviously but with the team they have now and for some more yrs to come. That could somehow maybe get small market teams to have an advantage and spread the stars around the league that silver says he wanted at the ASG. Seems fair enough to me lol

Just waking up to the Durant news. I give up hope on ever seeing a Hornets title in my lifetime.
