re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
Heat have upped their offer to Wade to 2 years/$40 mil with a player option for the 2nd year.
And to think Milwaukee came so close to signing him!

LMAO I usually hate Twitter but these have been killing me. But honestly, Presti has a serious question to answer with the news about the offering RW an extension: continue build around Westbrook or starting from scratch?

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
People keep bringing up that 6 year old tweet, but I'ma raise you one better from 2015:
Kevin Durant made some of his strongest comments yet about his future free agency, going as far to say he wants to have his jersey retired in Oklahoma City.
"I love it here, man. I love my teammates, I love the city, I don't really think about anywhere else," Durant told Revolt TV in a recent interview. "I hear it all the time, don't get me wrong, and once you hear it you're kind of like [looks up, thinking]. But for me, I love staying in the moment, and I'm one of those guys that would love to stick it out with one team my whole career.
"Kobe [Bryant], Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki type. That's awesome," he said. "But you never know what the future holds sometimes and how teams may feel about you after a while, but I love it here and I would love to get my jersey retired here."
At the same time though, Durant just made a very smart move for his legacy. Odds are when it's all said and done, however many rings he has is all that's gonna matter, not how stacked his team was.Comment

Oh God, I just thought of something hilarious; does the All-Star Game require starters to be 2 Gs and 3 Fs or can it be 3 Gs? Because if it takes 3 Gs, we could see Curry/Thompson/Westbrook/Durant/Green as the starting 5. How hilarious would that be?Comment

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
Putting myself in Durants shoes, it's understandable what he did. You can't hate on him. In the end he got his money and put himself in the best situation to win. You can't do any better than that for yourself.
However, as a fan, I ****ing hate it. This league needs more balance/parity. Not more super teams that just run through the league and ruin things for everyone else. It makes the product much less compelling to me.Indianapolis Colts
