I don't think it's an automatic anything. It will be interesting to see KD slip into their dynamic.

GSW was already a monster and they just got alot better. I just think it was the easy way out for him. "If you can't beat em, join em."
It's not a good look honestly.
Hell, join the Spurs, Clippers, or stay with OKC and beat GSW and the Cavs and you earn WAY more respect and you have a legend.
Even if Durant wins with the Warriors it will be like "ah well, cool he won with an already amazing team, *yawn*".
Haters and detractors will meltdown.
Draymond Green gonna rub it in hard

I didn't think it was possible but Draymond bout to be even more hated than he already is. Every time that man does ANYTHING the hate gonna come out in full force.
"Look at that chump Draymond I can't stand him. Holding up the game trying to flex his fat tying his shoe. Just cause they got KD he gotta celebrate and flex for everything. I hope somebody beats his ***."Comment

I just don't like this man... I just don't like this team up trend. I wanna see KD and Russ going at the Warriors next year to try and complete the job. I wanna see KD and Russ taking down the Spurs for good once again. I wanna see KD and Russ taking on the Cavs to try and dethrone LeBron and get payback for 2012.
I don't wanna see the one of the best players in the game, an MVP winner with multiple scoring titles, to go arguably one of the best teams of all-time.
I get it... I'm just a fan. It's not my legacy, not my money, and not my life on the line. KD would get roasted if he stayed in OKC his whole career with no rings just like he'll get roasted for teaming up with GS. I won't pretend like I won't watch the NBA anymore, because I will.
But I guess the motto of the NBA players nowadays is that when the going gets tough... the tough get going somewhere else.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
The bottom line is that it's hard to say what players would've done back then compared to today because the financial situations are so different. Back then, you couldn't conceive paying a player $10 million a year because there weren't the massive television contracts. Also the balance of wealth in the country in general (and I know I'm getting a little off-topic) has created a situation where a 70 million dollar contract over 3 years is "really not that much".
Even adjusting for inflation, the difference between 3 or 4 million dollars a year was alot back then...like generational wealth then. The NBA has created a situation to where you're willing to give up millions of dollars to chase a championship.
Also teams are finally realizing that if you have a chance to win a championship, you pay players no matter what. And it isn't about the greater glory of a championship...it's simple business. The valuation of the Thunder franchise just went down around $200 million because the owner didn't want to pay James Harden four years ago."Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."Comment

Warriors:
82-0? Less than 70 W's? Or somewhere in between?
Is GS better with Durant, or without?
Is chemistry harder to attain than talent?
Is it October yet?

Ugh and I guess we're in for one of my least favorite aspects of the Heatles era:
