    They could have traded Curry.

    He's not that good anyway.

Word from the highly reliable Ira Winderman (Heat Beat Writer for like...forever). Is McRoberts is going to be moved outta here to create space and Wade will sign 2 yr 53MM deal with player option in year 2 (and he would be crazy to opt out of course).

        Let's see.

There is the payback for Wade giving up salary in the big 3 era.

Celtics are in a solid state right now. The franchise has missed the playoffs once after KG, Pierce, and Allen all left. Sure, they have been bounced from the 1st round in back-to-back years, but so what? How many other franchises even recover so quickly to even be a playoff team so fast after moving on from a roster built to win titles? And not just a playoff team, but one with no bad contracts and draft picks that project high in what are beloved to be deep drafts. Oh, let's not forget room for more max contract players through free agency.

A number of teams who are in a worse position have been at this a lot longer than the Celtics. A bunch of folks were saying Ainge screw up on draft night by not unloading the farm for a Jimmy Butler. Well, here they are with the farm still intact and Al Horford added to the group. The process might feel like it's taking longer than it should to some, but the long approach, waiting for the right oppertunites seems to be working.

Are some of you seriously trying to downplay the Warriors talent now? Curry is "just a chucker", etc.

              Come on now. Really?

True and probably smart at the end of the day. It's definitely compelling to see how it will all play out.

As a Hornets fan, it's just interesting to see so many people blast OKC. The Harden move was terrible but harsher luxury tax penalties had just kicked in and no one knew thst franchise valuations and streaming revenu would explode like they did. Paying a backup PG (Reggie Jackson) close to the max was ludicrous. And recently they traded a plus defender who should be your fourth offensive option for a slightly worse, younger plus defender who should be your fourth option and a lottery pick. Plus the finally landed a potentially good and certainly qualified head coach.

OKC could've just axed Perkins but they traded Harden instead

They kept Brooks too long, and Donovan couldn't stop the culture they created in one year

They traded Jackson then Ibaka... basically the last move was a rebuild type thing

The thing is, we know they're cheap and now it's biting them in the glutes.

It's too bad... Bennett's valuation jumped up how much? Like 400% or something of that nature?

I don't feel sorry for them. They stole the team from Seattle and now wanna call someone a traitor. HAHA

Good answers. But putting jokes aside, what could have happened to retain Bogut? Restructure contract, etc.

                          You can't restructure NBA deals.

Bogut was on his last year anyway I'd rather axe Bogut who can't stay healthy than Igoudala

This is trolling at its finest. Bravo Wade. Bravo.

Edit: And now Cavs are following him and his wife, lmao. This stuff is gold.

Back when Lebron went to Miami, I was younger, more immature, and furious that he'd throw away his legacy (my opinion at the time) to dominate with his buddies on Dwyane Wade's team.

Obviously as its turned out, The Decision didn't really impact his legacy. He's cemented himself as one of the best of all time despite going to a super team to win his first two titles.

By now, I've learned that you know what's more fun than trying to tough it out in the hopes that you'll be ranked as a top 10 player instead of just a top 15 player of all time? Enjoying your career, making a **** ton of money, and winning. Winning a lot.

Durant's going to have the time of his life playing in that system. He's going to win at least one title. And his legacy is going to be just fine.
