The NBA as the most premier league of basketball in the world, it'll find a way to work out. I see basketball very similar to football (soccer) in its popularity worldwide.

Maybe one day guys like LeBron will make what they're actually worth like premier soccer stars. Why shouldn't someone like LeBron be making somewhere in the 60-90M a year range?

What does Ronaldo make? I'd say someone like LeBron is worth similar in his respective sport.

I dont know how it'll work out, and I'm definitely not a numbers nerd. Some agreement will eventually be reached no doubt, but what you're of agreement? Who knows, I sure as hell don't.

Ronaldo makes 17 million Euro. So that is about 18.87 million US dollars according to today's exchange rate. Now Messi is a different story he makes 36 million Euro. And that is about 39.96 million US dollars. And Neymar is close to the NBA max. He is making 25 million Euro, which is 27.75 million US. And when I searched this there were other top stars but none made more than those 3 from what I saw.

Yeah, and the fact that you missed 15+ games in back to back seasons. Just why not act grateful or appreciative? He just thinks much higher of his basketball skills than I do lol.

Could be predisposed, I dont like him. Im probably reading the text one way when I could be reading it another. Just not the words I'd have used.

Nope you're right... calling other players irrelevant, talking like he's a real agent or something... I could see t rex arms not finishing a long career with his bad knees.

Just a few weeks ago we were talking about who was going to be responsible for this one and I said the owners were going to opt out and cry poor. Well here we are. Those dudes were salivating at handing out all these **** contracts to the Mosgov's of the world so they can scream that the players were putting the in financial hell so the can hold their hands out. It'll never be enough for them. The players could cave and give them 55 percent and they'd come back in a few years with a fresh lockout and a new excuse why 55 isn't enough.

Not surprised at all. The owners can give that all out if they want, but it doesn't stop the fact that it only equals to the amount of Basketball income percentage they agreed to when they butt raped the players the first time... they aren't overpaying the percentage or anything at all.

Nobody cares about greed, and they can keep looping it if they want to, once their sasual public sees they just signed a 24 billion dollar deal, and keeps asking for more it'll eventually bite them in the behind.

Do not underestimate pride and ego, especially from Millionaires and Billionaires.

We're not saying the NBA will close it's doors for good, but we seen how long it took for them to bounce back from the last lockout. They're just now getting back that good will they lost from people then and now they're at the point of losing it again.

The NBA better get ready to count every red cent.

Women don't play when it comes to that cash.

Clarification: Nance's hand was broken, not wrist. Six to eight weeks is norm for this type of injury. He'll see hand specialist Friday.

Difference is that super clubs make way more than others. In Spain, Germany and Italy, two clubs dominate the rest of the league in revenues.

EPL also has revenue disparity between 4-6 teams and the rest of the league but there is a huge tv contract which makes it way richer than other national leagues.

Ok...he asked what Ronaldo made and I gave him the top salaries of players I could find. All were less than that of the NBA max besides Messi. Zlatan made something like 11.3 million Euro, Suarez was around 10 million Euro. Aguero made just over 11 million Euro. Bale made 15 million Pounds, which is 19.8 million US. Hazard and Kompany made 10.4M Euro each. Schweinsteiger made 14.3 million Pounds or 18.876 million US. So as I just showed the top guys in the EPL make close to what the other guys do.

Forbes has Ronaldo's salary/winnings listed at 56 mil, Messi at 53.4, and LeBron at 23.2 for this year.

Bron makes almost as much in them in endorsements combined (54 mil compared to 32 for Ronaldo and 28 for Messi).

I just went for the highest paid athletes article.

                              http://www.forbes.com/athletes/#739c6a9a6e34

They put it out every year. Ronaldo stays on top as long as Floyd doesn't fight lol.

Since the CBA was signed in December, will they have until then to negotiate? Any chance games start and then end like the 95 baseball strike?
