"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Bucks and Miles Plumlee have agreed on four-year, $50 million deal.
Could open the door for a Henson or Monroe trade. Also, Jared Sullinger cost himself a butt load of money refusing to stay in respectable shape.Comment

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
Raptors sign Fred VanVleet. Not a notable signing at all,and is just a partially guaranteed deal, but this would give them 4PGs. He's gonna be in d-league for sure, but the reason i bring up such a small signing is cause I wonder if this could lead to them dealing 2015 1st round pick Delon Wright.
Wright is likely d-league bound as well since he'd see basically no time behind Lowry/Joseph, so Raptors adding another PG to dleague, on a multi year deal, they have to have something in mind with Wright. Maybe 76ers rumors could heat back up? They do need a PG after all...Comment

Yeah still couldn't understand the point of it being a one year deal though. Compared to Solomon Hill he deserves a lengthy decent contract. Maybe it's just a contract year for him by his own choice.Comment

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
He didn't really look that good last year, so I he's doing a 1 year "Biyombo type" of contract. That way he has a season to show that he's worth big $$$ next offseason. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Explanation, if you call it that, why the Bucks paid the farm for Plumlee.
Another restricted free agent returned to his most recent employer on Monday, as another free-agent big man drank deeply of the bounty of this summer’s $24 million salary cap spike. The Milwaukee Bucks agreed to terms with restricted free agent center Miles Plumlee on a four-year deal, as first reported by Marc Stein of ESPN.com. Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the deal is worth $50 million, but could reach $52 million with “relatively easy to reach” incentives that would earn Plumlee a flat rate of $13 million per year.Comment
