Nobody is linked to the Celtics every year like they are with the Knicks though...

Don't forget the Lakers. Knicks and Lakers have the FA rumors on lock every damn year.

If I was a free agent you're *** **** right I'm getting flown out to NY/LA, getting taken to the dopest restaraunt out there, and having them put my name in lights...even if I had no intention of going there lol. I can only imagine the show the Knicks/Lakers could put on for a free agent, I would just want to be a part of it. Can you imagine the mockups they must've had when LeBron was leaving Cleveland the first time? They probably had a model of the Statue of Liberty with his head on it lol

This is also probably where we lose guys who don't care about that stuff and just wanna play basketball. Our roster tends to do that as well though.

I mean, if you're an NBA free agent you've likely been playing in the league for about three to five years at that point because clearly you've reached unrestricted free agency status. That's about three to five years of trips to New York and LA you've had already. Getting "flown to NY/LA" kinda loses a little bit of it's allure when it's no longer cities you've never been before right?

Not really hung up on any of it but I still feel like the thought of bad being too harsh is not giving enough credence to what you said... year 3 is generally where NBA players are fairly evaluated.

But my last response was to the criticism of the guys I picked as examples. If I can name 8 guys off the top of my head who's 1st two years were on par with Wiggins or worse, and ended up being all stars or HOFers then I think it's fair to say judging him after 2 years is premature. I also just stopped thinking of guys, I'm sure I could come up with more, especially with a little digging. KAT and the unibrow shouldn't have people expecting NBA rookies to produce out of the gate.

And LA / NY don't put you in the jersey number of a player currently on the team.

              Lacks creativity.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Probably, I'm sure these guys can do whatever they want to a degree but I think there's a level of flair these teams can put on it that can make it special. I mean they're rich but they aren't Dolan rich. Sure you've been to NY but have you ever flown private in a jet with the Knicks logo on it with Derek Jeter and Spike Lee? Lol I'm just making stuff up but I'm sure they can pull some stuff together, especially the "high life" cities. This is also something that just billionaires in general can do, but I don't think Dan Gilbert's pitch is gonna be as memorable as Micky Arison's.

                  Jamal Crawford News

"My preference is to re-sign with the Clippers," Crawford said. "But I understand that, at the end of the day, I’m a free agent so I have to look at everything. I have to take every call and consider every offer that comes to me and my agent. I have to, that’s just part of being a free agent." Crawford also said that Doc Rivers wants to bring him back, but the 36-year-old is the reigning Sixth Man of the Year and he isn't going to be cheap with the rising salary cap.

What's their roster situation look like anyway beyond next year? Is Jordan the only one locked up beyond?

They got any picks or did Doc give most of those away?

The New York Knicks are looking to upgrade their backcourt, and one player on their radar is Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose.

The Knicks have had internal discussions recently about trading for Rose, league sources tell ESPN.

The Bulls' interest in trading Rose, 27, is unknown at this point. The Knicks do not have many strong trade chips outside of Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis and future first-round draft picks.

Both Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek and GM Steve Mills have said that the Knicks are interested in upgrading their point-guard position in the offseason. The Knicks' incumbent starting point guard is Jose Calderon, while other potential point guards include second-year guard Jerian Grant and free-agent signee Tony Wroten.

Rose will be a free agent after the 2016-17 season. He averaged 16.4 points on 42.7 percent shooting and 4.7 assists in 66 games last season.

The six-year veteran has appeared in just 50 percent of the Bulls' regular season games over the past four years due to various injuries, including two major knee surgeries.
