Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Well, what a series it has been.
There's been a little of everything on the court and a little bit of this and that off the court. And I'm sure hoops fans all over the world have been thoroughly entertained.
Through it all I've come to appreciate more the ability of past NBA teams to sustain prolonged success in the face of public scrutiny, intense pressure and fierce competition.
The Lakers, the Celtics, the Bulls, the Pistons, the Rockets, the Heat...and I'm hoping that tomorrow the Warriors will join that list.
We can make points and counter-points to the "X's and O's" of how tomorrow may play out, but the strongest and briefest analysis I can give is that I think that tomorrow comes down to the stars:
The Dubs will need its stars - Curry, Thompson and Green - to play BIG in order to win.
And I think they will do it.
Enjoy the game everyone!Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"

I'm expecting really hard fouls tomorrow from GS. No more games to risk getting suspended for until next year. Hopefully the refs let them play really physically

Not saying things are rigged, but you can get that lame statement you're trying to make with this post out of here. You know the context of why that sentiment popped up but that's whatever right?Comment

It must have been rigged when Bron fouled out too. I wonder how often they turn the rig switch on and off.

The risk - the integrity of your league from now until forever. No one would ever take you serious again and it would bring into question everything that happened before.
The reward - an extra 6 or 7 million dollars in gate revenue for the Warriors.
Yeah, that totally seems worth it. These conspiracies are so silly.

Something tells me there weren't any theories about prolonging the series at the time, lolLast edited by The 24th Letter; 06-19-2016, 08:45 AM.Comment

I feel the NBA wanted it to go 7 so they helped a little. But I believe in game 7 they will let them play! It will be an INTENSE game!Comment

Tristan Thompson gonna have to play near the whole game tonight. When he's on the floor, Cleveland is +38 and -38 when he's off. http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/po...n-the-real-mvp
Tristan Thompson has done an incredible job defending Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson on switches this series. Curry is 5-for-17 with four turnovers against him, and Klay is 4-for-12 with three turnovers against him. Tristan has contested 92 percent of Klay's field goal attempts when guarding him, and Curry is 0-for-11 on contested field goals against Tristan.
Harrison Barnes is also 2-for-13 on field goals with five points on 14 plays when defended by Tristan Thompson this series. And it's even more dramatic for Stephen Curry's offensive numbers with Tristan Thompson on and off the court. Curry is scoring twice as much and shooting much better when Tristan is on the bench.Comment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
LOL y'all with the false equivalencies. When's the last time LeBron fouled out of a playoff game? Against the Pacers? When he tripped Lance Stephenson while setting a screen? Yes certainly questionable when someone clearly trips someone. Against the Celtics? When they whistled him for the same thing they whistled Kevin Garnett for on the previous play?
The Warriors lost game 3 nobody called it rigged to go 7. The Warriors lost game 5 nobody called it rigged to go 7. The Warriors lost game 6 with Steph taking about 3 blatantly bogus fouls and fouled out immediately after the refs IGNORED a dude leaping over a Warrior's back to tip a rebound to LeBron off a missed free throw.
There's clearly a reason that the talk suddenly came up for this game after nobody had anything to say about rigged prior to that game. Let's not act like we wouldn't be hearing the "rigged" or "media darling" nonsense from the LeBron/Cavs party had Draymond not been suspended for game 5 and the Warriors closed things out then like they should have. But I know, y'all only see this issues when people are "ganging up" on LeBron.Comment
