The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Nobody here yelled rigged about that. When the Warriors lost game 5 everybody talked about them blowing their chance and left it at that because LeBron and Kyrie went off. Nothing you can really say at that point. Again though, had Draymond not gotten suspended, played that game and the Warriors won, we know what would have been the talking point until next June.
The second foul where LeBron bowled over him, he had the spot before Bron. That one I'd agree though wasn't blatantly bogus, so I should say 2.
The fifth foul on the Kyrie strip was terrible. He got all ball on that, it was a clean strip and shouldn't have been whistled.
Then the last foul. He got ball, LeBron loss handle of it and bobbled it and then flopped at the end and drew the call even though Steph was getting out of the way.
Also not really a fan of the first call on him but I get that one. Tristan clearly flopped on that cause Steph ain't strong enough to throw that dude out of bounds like he went flying on. But I could see the call because it looked like he had an arm around him.
Ummm lots of people, maybe not here, but plenty were crying that he was only suspended to prolong the series, which would make it rigged to them. They were saying if the series was tied, no way Draymond gets suspended

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Yeah that second call seems to be a judgment call, but LBJ was already driving that direction I thought before Curry got there.
He got ball, but refs should of called all the hand checking before that, and the reach, which they called.
That last foul is like the 2nd foul, refs seem to give leeway to offensive players in regards to movement.
The TT foul was a foul, thought it was obvious that Curry didn't want TT getting an easy basket.
The only for sure questionable foul was when they called a foul on Curry hitting Love, which wasn't much. They missed the over the back foul I thought, think it was Draymond or Barnes.
Inconsistency has always been my issue with NBA officiating though.
Man it just seems like you got something against James. People who don't like this guy want to figure a way to throw an asterisk on this final if he wins.
The Warriors were outplayed this last game. You take those fouls away from Curry and what changes? They still lose. They had no answer for LeBron.

I don't do asterisks, so you can leave me out of that discussion. Where were you to be worried about asterisks all year when people were chalking them up on the Warriors' title?Comment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Klay said he didn't want to see any hero ball tonight, but I'm pretty sure him and Steph are the only ones even capable of even playing hero ball, lol
Hell, their hero ball quarters is what usually keeps them in games or puts the game out of reachComment

Game 7 Courtside tickets sold for $49,500 on Stubhub. Figured they would go for a bit more than that.
Shoot, if I had a few mil in the bank account, I would've jumped on those seats with the quickness.#RespectTheCultureComment

Didn't know both teams have scored exactly 610 points each. I'm hoping for a classic and a buzzer beater.Comment

I've watched all the games now. I don't know who to pick. Yesterday it was Cavs. Today is Warriors. Good luck to everyone!

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
I think we finally get that down to the wire game we've all been waiting for here. I think somebody is going for 50. Don't know if that's LeBron, Kyrie, Klay or Steph though.
One thing is for certain about tonight, the ratings are going to be epic. ABC is about to have their highest rated program ever.Comment

1. He fouled Tristan Thompson on purpose. He was the mouse in the house, knew it, and took a foul to prevent an easy bucket or dunk.
2. Really close call. Bang-bang play and even while watching it back, I'm not sure if Stephen's established legal position or not. It sort of looks like he was just shuffling to meet James in the middle then tried to set his feet at the last second in a spot that did not allow James to avoid the collision (at which point it'd be a block). Not 100% though.
3. Super silly foul on Curry's part. Clearly grabbed Irving while working around that screen for no reason whatsoever. Even if Irving took an open shot at that point, so be it. Giving up two points there is way less critical than losing a unanimous MVP in the first half with three fouls. Just unusually poor game awareness by Curry on that play.
3.5 I feel like I remember Curry trying to draw another offensive foul while defending James in that first half too. Curry fell to the ground but officials let play carry on. Could have easily been whistled for another foul, which would have been another really poor decision on Curry's part to even risk it.

4. Curry fouled Love on a tip attempt. Can get away with that contact if a player's not using that arm to shoot or attempt to shoot via tip, but Love was, so another relatively easy call to make (and unnecessary play by Curry).
5. Play doesn't look too shabby in real time. Curry's hand hit the ball but the rest of his arm made contact with Irving's entire body. Not to mention, there was some questionable jostling in the first place (Curry's hand pushing back on Irving's shoulder before the reach attempt. You can get away with some interplay, but if you combine the contact during the initial drive with a reach across someone's body (making contact with every part of your arm except for the hand), officials will often draw the line there.
6. May all check out as clean in the replay but again, such a silly, unnecessary, and perilous position for Curry to put himself in. I'll say this, even if the refs got that one wrong, the play looked odd enough to draw a call like that. It sucks that the refs may have got it wrong, but if you're Stephen Curry, you have to know better than to believe that running up from behind LeBron James in the backcourt and reaching wildly was a good risk to take at that point.
The first strip attempt looked like a borderline foul in real time (even if it checks out clean in replay). Officials were probably thinking of calling a foul at that point, then when the second tie-up happened, that likely just put it over the edge.
Officials may have missed some calls (worth noting the Kevin Love foul on Draymond Green as well) but when it came to Stephen Curry, I found him to be responsible for just about every second of time he spent in foul trouble last game. At times it almost felt like he was daring the officials to make a call; not sure I've seen him play that recklessly on that end before.Last edited by VDusen04; 06-19-2016, 02:11 PM.Comment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
I've watched Game 6 three times now and Curry's defensive IQ was extremely low last game. For a guy that was in foul trouble pretty quickly, he kept reaching and reaching A LOT. He needs to be much smarter.Comment

Just when it seems like you can't get any more hype for this game. Shady gives this.
