Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2

If the series was tied 2-2, does the NBA upgrade the foul to Flagrant 1 to "automatically" suspend Green for game 5?

Anyways, sure the NBA can't outright come out and say we're not really a league about competition, it's scripted entertainment like the WWE.

But why is it hard to believe the NBA wouldn't at least be tempted by the prospect of tilting the playing field to enhance certain strategic interests?

NBA is about making money at the end of the day, not pure sport or whatever people want to believe.

I hope I'm wrong but I still expect Curry to get roughed up by nobodies, TT to get away with pushing for all those offensive rebounds, and no foul trouble for Lebron or Kyrie. And on the other end, more ticky-tack fouls called against the Warriors who are not allowed to play as physically as TT, Jefferson, Shumpert, etc.

Despite game 7 being played in Oakland.

Oh trust me, I have been the whole series. You're looking at a couple situations for a very narrow portion of one game and claiming the whole series is rigged..

If the NBA wants a rivalry for next year and beyond, Cleveland needs to win more than the Warriors.

They probably don't want to hear about Lebron being 2-5 in Finals because they hurts his marketability.

Im just saying, its not like politics and religion, no matter how much David "i know where the bodies are buried, and i buried some" Stern wanted to distance the league from him as some kind of rogue ref.

And even he himself said that the games were indeed not fixed.

Probably if the foul deserved the flagrant.

Dahntay Jones scored as many points (5) last night as Harrison Barnes scored in Games 5 and 6 combined

They haven't worried about LeBrons marketability since they started shoving KD and Curry down our throats.

It would do more good for the league for GS to win. They have the golden boy, they have the fan base, they have everything to take in the dough. What would they benefit from aiding Cleveland?

Well that's not happening regardless. LeBron is coming down from his prime, wants to retire one of the best ever, just made a billion dollar lifetime shoe deal, wants to start making movies, wants to win a ring for Cleveland, said he would retire whenever his kids want him to, and keeps signing one year deals.

There is no guarantee that if he won a ring this year that he wouldn't hang them up. Unlikely, but he's not sticking around for a decade long rivalry. He's only got a couple years of this type of play left in him.

How do you explain LeBron going for 41 two games in a row? Refs? Draymond being suspended because he can't keep his hands and feet away from other players' d&b's?

Very few things in this world can hurt LeBron James' marketability. Losing in the finals isn't one of them.

I'd rather not think about that lol, can you imagine the East without Bronny for the next few years? Barf...

I think it's laughable how quickly people are calling things rigged. At least I didn't hear this from Cavs fans when they were losing in this series.

I think there's about a 0% chance LeBron hangs it up after this year, ring or no ring.

As i said there are warriors seats going for 200K, and they will sell just like they did when Kobe's last game has tens of thousands of dollars tacked to one seat and still sold

Those insane ticket prices are driven up by the secondary market. Teams don't see those spikes.
