Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Aside from all of the silly greatest ever comparisons because ALL of those people have shut up, it's not sustainable to keep hitting 30 foot jumpers in players faces all year long, including the playoffs.
I have noticed all of the "we've never seen this before" talk has ceased.
Curry needs to realize what other parts of the game he can use to cause similar havoc than going for the home run 3 when he's being attacked by the defense.
Agree 100%.
That's been one of the most frustrating things to me. For as beautiful it is to see him stroke from deep, it doesn't NEED to be his goal every play. He just seems so intent on getting off a three instead of taking advantage of what the defense gives him.
You have to be defended 30 feet away from the basket, have an elite handle, top notch finishing ability at the rim with either hand, and good passing vision.
He's severely limiting himself by having that mentality.Comment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
I used the term "fluke" because last nights game was a complete anomaly.
LeBron has not hit jumpers like that since his Miami days.
And Kyrie just played out of his mind, hitting some of the most difficult shots I've seen! Especially for his height. The Dubs defended him just about as good as you can hope. Can't be mad at that.
There were only a few plays where the Warriors fell asleep defensively. But for the most part, Kyrie and LeBron were defended damn well.
I honestly think the way those two played and won last night will wind up biting them in the ***. If they come in with the same game plan (if you can even call it that), they will lose, as that is simply not sustainable.
I hate the term 'fluke', that's my issue def not yours.Comment

We need to get her a jersey pressed and ready for next season Pack. We can welcome her to #teamspurshate on draft night. Number 1 pick this offseason.

Either way, he definitely doesn't look as bouncy as the regular season naturally. The Greats always found a way though.
That said, I think he's kind of proven that hitting an over-abundance of triples in his opponents' faces is kind of sustainable for an entire season. Dude cranked in over 400 bombs this season (at a 45 percent clip, shattering his own record by 116), with too many to count under duress.
And I mean, if we're real, we're currently sitting here trying to say that attempting tough triples isn't sustainable all year, yet despite his continually abnormal shot selection, he was still hitting 44.7 percent from deep in the Finals before last night (now down to 42.3).
Further, his 22 treys would have shattered the NBA Finals record for most 3-pointers in a five-game series (Rashard Lewis is the current holder with 16). He has a chance to break his own record if he hits four in a win next game (for the sake of comparison, he shot 38.5 percent from deep in the Finals last year).
Does that mean he couldn't attack the basket more often? Of course not. Does that mean he shouldn't have stepped it up a notch when Klay Thompson cooled? Would have been nice. But even last night, in the case of how both Curry and Thompson tend to operate in terms of shot selection and long distance shot-making ability, we still haven't really seen this before.Last edited by VDusen04; 06-14-2016, 04:10 PM.Comment

I think GSW closes it out as well but twenty fo' won't complain about a Game 7 either....at that point I'd say it's a toss up, even at OracleComment

He's the kind of player that will probably play better with that kind of treatment. They should reverse-mojo him and cheer him every play, he probably would fall apart then.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment
