I think he makes a difference, but I think most people's reaction is more so that he did it by taking the same shots he gets with Dray there.

He likely doesn't shoot that well again, but if it doesn't I don't believe it will be anything hat Dray does differently. I just expect him to come down a little bit back to normal.

Again, I don't really see the logic in desiring the media irrationally criticize a player just because they irrationally criticize another player. We should probably be thankful analysis of the series to this point hasn't devolved to something like that (yet).

It wouldn't be irrational criticism at all. Steph has been no better than 4th or 5th best on his team other than game 4. And it's not like he makes up for it defensively. Just imagine if LeBron was choking like this. Even DeMar and Lowry were getting more criticism.

Well yeah, if he's hitting his jump shot then nothing will make a difference but those lanes were MUCH clearer with Draymond out. They were giving Harrison Barnes and Verajao serious clock at C last night.

They were also a lot less switchy with Draymond out. The Warriors play Lebron so well because they can just pass him off from, similarly sized, man to man. Seemed last night they just iso'd Iggy on him and Iggy wore down.

Steph ain't choking man. He's not his regular season looking self, but judging by how's he's played in the playoffs throughout his career, and last years finals, I believe it was expected to an extent.

He's not a guy who's going to slow the game down and drop 30/15/10.. I mean he's a shooter, all be it the best one ever. But realistically if you can minimize those looks his production of 30ppg is going to waver up and down as we've seen.

He hasn't played great, but he definitely isn't choking. And I don't think we needs to start tearing him down, it's annoying enough with LeBron this series.

He's about to be a back to back MVP, back to back champ on a 73 win year.. His slightly faltered play will all be an afterthought soon enough.

To be honest, it sounds as though you have an axe to grind, considering you've made this comment in three different threads (including one you created specifically for that reason). Even when his box score meets your arbitrary standards, you've just minimized the effort with "but his team didn't even need him".

Lebron has got more criticism without even choking. Curry is choking hard and hasn't got much. Media dickrides him so hard smh. Also, in game 2 the Dubs clearly didn't need Curry.

Don't get me wrong, Lebron played out of his mind in an elimination game on the road. It was incredible. I just think the "fire in his eyes" stuff can be readily explained by something tangible: He took advantage of a better match up.

No I agree with you, not having the extra man out there does make a difference. He's pretty much the backbone of their defense.

Draymond is the backbone of that team imo. He's their most important player.
