Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
I would generally agree. At times, I even thought the Warriors were being a little too conservative in the postseason compared to their regular season play style. Then again, there's a lot of factors that could have made it appear that way (fewer defensive stops leading to fewer transition opportunities, for example).
Even then, their play style brought them within 60 seconds of repeating as NBA champions. They won more games than any other team in NBA history. This isn't some kind of experiment-in-progress. It's a style of play that's brought a team historic levels of success so in my opinion, yeah, you tend to work within the structure that got you there in the first place.

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Look.... it's that stupid saying. Live by the 3 Die by the 3. When the Warriors made that come back vs the Thunder in game 6. Klay Thompson took a 3 that I still think was a bad shot. It was a fast break with wide open lane. He hit the 3. And took the lead. That can't be a good shot in a game 7 smh.
I think that's the point I was trying to make? The Warriors would have never been in the Finals in the first place if it wasn't for moments like the one you mentioned. That odd way of playing, with the combination of players they have, is why they were playing for a title in Game 7 of the NBA Finals in the first place.
Sometimes old mantras die hard. I'm just glad the Warriors got one last year to put the "Live by the 3" saying on life support.Comment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
SpoilerSteph and Klay shot out of their minds in games 6 and 7 and OKC still had every chance to win both. Saw that with Ibaka/Adams/Kanter on him Steph was 17/23 from 3.
Cavs in 7. They can't defend as well as OKC did but they won't miss as many shots either. If Love and Tristan Thompson can grab some offensive rebounds they should have a shot to win every game with the way they can shoot/score.
These predictions all look the same as they did in the WCF thread for the most part. Bad matchup, GS will win easily, 4 or 5 game series with mostly blowouts. Lot of people forgetting how good LeBron and the rest of this team is apparently. Not saying the smart money shouldn't be on GS to win but I don't think it'll be easy for either team.
Y'all slept on Bron though.
Seriously though, can't be asked enough; why was Harry still getting minutes? How many open shots does he have to miss before they go with somebody else? Barbosa hit plenty of shots and scored consistently when given time.
I don't think this series tops the 1st Heat/Spurs series but damn it's close. Watching LeBron these last three games was a treat. Anyone outside of Oakland should be happy just witnessed what might end up being once in a lifetime greatness over a 3 game stretch from one the greatest of all time (for the younger crowd on here at least). Choose to be salty and say it was a boring series if you want though.
Basically what I'm trying to say is the NBA built their storyline.Arsenal Gunners|Kentucky Wildcats|Cincinnati BengalsComment

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
I loved watching Golden State but that's been their major flaw over the last 5 years. They've their bouts with careless turnovers. Some of it the last 2 years is a give and take that happens when you're such a great passing team but some of it comes off as careless and overconfident."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. Haha, I feel stupid for not being able to tell if you're agreeing with me.

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
Isiah Thomas on the post-game was saying LeBron is in the room with MJ, Kareem, Bill Russell and Wilt as the greatest of all time, then he was like, "if I'm missing anyone, someone let me know." In my head I was thinking Kobe and Shaq, obviously lol. I'd put LeBron ahead of Kobe, mostly cuz Kobe had prime Shaq to lead those teams, but can't go wrong either way.Comment
