So did Curry end this series with more TOs than assists? If so that's pretty brutal

    Yep, 30 turnovers 26 assists

    That's nuts man

I suppose it depends upon what we're talking about. It seems a lot of folks aren't strictly talking X's and O's when discussing Golden State's playstyle. Rather, they're talking shot selection and Steph and Klay's willingness to quick-fire in particular. And again, in that case, that approach had already yielded one championship and came this close to clinching another tonight.

My worry was never them basing their gameplan upon the outside shot, they have pretty much mastered that.

My problem was the jump it took this season. More and more of the "that's a bad shot" if it doesn't go in looks, rather than taking the ones the defense gave them. I had no problem with them chunking up a deep ball if a defender wasn't going to extend 30 feet out to cover it. That's just typical range for those dudes.

They are unique in that 1-5 that can make plays. They can get a great look every trip up the court, and that is extremely rare. So to me, the step backs with a guy and inch from your face, with a game within 5 points during the playoffs, with half your shot clock left, just seems uncalled for.. I think a few too many times we saw that in this years playoffs, even in the OKC series that they ended up winning despite some of those type of late game plays.

I said during the regular season that those plays could hurt them in the postseason. And most were just like "their offense doesn't rely on that though".. And they were right. But it happened so frequently that it became a little too much of their identity. They are at their best when they play for the best shot, not when they play for the highlight shot.

And Leonardo is just too small for switches on TT, Kyrie or James. It's just too much to ask for. Barnes has to be the guy.

        It's Leandro

and considering how Barnes pretty much turned into a dumpster fire, giving something else a try wouldn't hurt

Matter of fact they got their leads with him on the bench, brought him back in and lost it again

Richard Jefferson retiring is big for the Cavs. From what I saw he was a great glue guy and he was huge in this series. Gonna be tough to find a guy to replace that. I think they should shop Shumpert around for sure.

Champagne bottles aren't even empty in the locker room and we're already debating LeBron's place on the all-time charts. Inevitable, I guess.

Guys like that are a dime a dozen man. Those aren't hard to find at all, there's always a guy like that ready for a series of one year deals.

If he was the glue guy then Barnes was like

Oh no I agree they didn't stick to Leonardo. And should have. But I think on the defensive side. They would of opened up lanes for James and Kyrie.

Surprisingly, Skip and Stephen A. had stupid things to say. Always a good idea to speak in absolutes with a little undeserved arrogance when making predictions. These dudes are paid millions to say things like this too man.

Not to go backwards. But he reminded me of Shane Battier on the Heat.

They were attacking him. If you watch the last 3 games. They literally would come down. And Curry man would set a screen on Kyrie or LeBron man to force the switch.

What people forget. In the Thunder series. They made their come back because they Switched Thompson on to Russell Westbrook. Once they made that switch. Curry started scoring.

Barnes wasn't stopping nobody though jeebs. At times he's brick a shot then come right down and foul someone... bad plays on both ends at the same time.

Cmon man, even Kevin McHale knew to sit James Harden when he was stinking it up and they beat the Clippers at Staples.

Why couldn't Kerr just trying SOMETHING?

Like he literally did less than Barbosa the entire series than Barbosa did in one quarter.

..the other thing is as soon as the 3 was unavailable they just choked. Like it's sad to see dudes they're giving MVP accolades to, play like Steve Francis out there.

...which leads me to what kind of plays did Kerr have as a backup?

If I cant hit a 3 then you try to hit one?

I don't recall ever seeing any misdirection, not even that elevator play that used to get them buckets when Mark Jackson was there.

                            What was the plan?

Somebody made a comment about Barkley on here...

He won't have to get down on his hands and knees when he comes back in October and apologize like he was being asked after Game 5 with Draymond there.

Also on another note: Congratulations to Richard Jefferson on a great career and capping it with a title. I met a bunch of Spurs about 5 years ago. I didn't get a chance to talk to him but everybody else that did talked about how much of a class guy that he is.

They should have run more of the sets that got Barnes the wide open dunk. Cavs were so worried about the 3 that they could have run that play and scored easily.
