Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2

Not going to overreact to last night. This is still at least a 6 game series. Cleveland will make their adjustments on Sunday and they'll get the split they need heading home. If they get blown out again to close out game 2, then they may be in some big trouble.

Only thing I'll say is that the worst thing that could have happened for Cleveland was for OKC to not only not take care of business up 3-1, but to not do it in the manner they did because GS got to come into this thing with the train rolling full speed and the short turnaround from that series is actually a benefit to them to keep that momentum rolling.

The gs bench is not going to be hot every game either

Most of lebron points came off offensive fouls, pure bulldozing and forarms and stiff arms on every drive.

Barnes and iggy got then going early on last night, and barbosa and livingston killed the cavs lol, dont see that happening again, but they re still gonna touch up curry, thompson is the real deal in gs, take away currys range and thompson is the best overall player for the dubs, i can see him as finals mvp, that dude can catch some heat man, aint seen curry play like that either

Except that's how they normally play, but I guess if we wanna play the 'either' game, sure go ahead.

I think the Cavs need to stick to the same defensive strategy they had in game 1. Do your best to lock up Klay and Steph, and if guys like Livingston or Barbosa beat you, so be it. You're not going to be able to lock down everyone on the GS roster, and if you try to GS will burn you.

Offensively they just need to do a better job of moving the ball. Half of their possessions last night looked straight out of a pickup game. Gotta do a better job on that front.

Things should even out next game. Klay and Curry won't be held to 20 combined again, Barbosa and Livingston aren't going to combine for 13/15 shooting again, Cleveland's bench shouldn't **** the bed again, etc. I'm expecting a much closer game Sunday.

Livingston won't get 20 again but i can see him having several good games because this series is more for him than the last series.

and if Barnes looks decent in this series that's a problem for CLE.

I don't really think Klay and Steph were locked up. They had better looks last night than they had during the last few games against OKC... they just missed them. I do agree you that letting the other guys beat them should be their game plan though.

I also agree with you on Cleveland's offense. They need to move the ball more. Plus, Lebron, Love and Irving can't do it by themselves, they can't get a combined 13 points from J.R. and the bench and expect to win. Did they ever say anything more about J.R.'s injury? I think he's going to be the key for them going forward. I don't see Frye being a factor against GS's big's and the rest of the team still needs to have at least one or two guys step up each game. GS just has too many weapons.

The Warriors bench is known to play better at home. We just didn't get that extra boost from Klay and Steph.

For Cleveland to do anything the Harlem Globetrotter ball is gonna have to die.....KYRIE

I don't think they out warriors the warriors in Oracle, and slowing the game down too much means they won't score enough to keep up.

OKC basically told GS that rebounding is where yall come up short, then GS fixed that.

As far as letting others beat you, man dude most of the team was wide open all night. Remember I mentioned KD saying this same thing in his press conference..about hoping they just miss contested shots?

Nope... not many of you homerish posts make much for me... im sure YOU were expecting them to lock down GS though.
