3 of his 4 fave places are all in Atlantic division. So that's almost 50 games in cities he enjoys the most. He oddly didn't even mention LA in that top list.Comment

David Griffin, who was fired last week as general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers, is a candidate for the New York Knicks' presidency, sources tell ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.
The Knicks are assembling a list of candidates they'll speak to. That process is ongoing, but Griffin has had an initial conversation with the Knicks and is expected to have more talks when the team moves to the next level in its process.
I don't want him. From afar all I saw him do was give big money deals to Tristan, JR, Shumpert, trade Wiggins for Love, etc. I don't think highly of his decision making.Comment

I'm fine with doing your due diligence. But was Griffin one of the guys who drafted Anthony Bennett #1?

2 Bolded : That got them thier first championship in their team's history.
I'm pretty sure he doesn't regret getting Kevin Love for Andrew Wiggins (who is Melo 2.0), and neither do Cavs fans.Comment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
This seems unlikely to me. Basically says the Spurs screwed themselves out of Paul because they're dangling Aldridge.
Besides that, it's pretty clear what's happening here. That BS report that LeBron said he'd never play for the Clippers. Bron, Wade and Paul lining their free agencies up. Carmelo once again the odd man out because he's locked in a contract for two more years. Though he's trying to get a buyout. The Clippers could potentially have 70 million dollars+ in cap space next summer. Chris basically being a rental for the Rockets.

No, Chris Grant drafted Bennett and was fired 6 months later. Griffin and his trades, first in the 2014 season and then recruiting the likes of Jefferson in the off season, helped us win the title.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Clippers forward Blake Griffin could be out until December as he rehabs a foot injury sustained in the first round the 2017 NBA playoffs.
While guesting on the Pardon My Take podcast, Griffin revealed that he actually tore “tendons and ligaments” in his foot in what was originally misdiagnosed as a toe injury (starting at 0:40).
“I was going to try to go back in before our doctor was like, ‘That’s not a good idea.’ So they were like, ‘Just say he has a bruised toe.’
“And so after getting all my tests and stuff, I ended up tearing tendons and ligaments in the bottom of my foot.
“And we just kind of left it out that that it was bruised.”
Griffin underwent surgery on May 1 to repair what the Clippers called a “plantar plate injury.”
According to ESPN’s Michael Eaves, Griffin may not be ready for the start of the season and could be out until December.
Complicating the matter however, sources told ESPN’s Michael Eaves, is that Griffin may not be ready for the start of the next season and could possibly be out until December due to a toe injury that cut short his postseason.
