Yeah couldn't remember if they'd taken it out or not. The same principle applies though. Offering a player who doesn't exactly deserve a max salary is designed to discourage the current team from matching and if they do then you got them paying a guy a max who shouldn't have it.

If Gordon wants a chance to make it to the finals the east is the way to go. Dragic,dion,Heyward,babbit/JJ/vet min PF/Whiteside is a top 4 seed in the east. The jazz might not make the playoffs in the west

Jazz are making the playoffs next year no matter what happens. They'll be a top 4 seed if Hayward returns.

We lost so many players last year due to injuries that it's amazing we won 51 games. By bring everyone back aside from Hill, and replacing him with Rubio (who I like better to run the offense), we should be improved. We would have won 60 games last year if Hill was even remotely healthy. He only played 49 games.

Wizards..you better match the max the Kings gave Otto...sad thing is, Otto about to be the highest paid player on the team

They could always re-sign Bojan instead and they already have Oubre Jr. in the fold. I might rescind my rights to Otto and spend whatever cap space they have else where.

I think he's going back to Utah. unfortunately.

How is Boston, or Miami for that matter, the better option when both are overloaded with players that play Gordon's best and secondary position?

His best move is staying put and seeing if Utah can take the next step. Utah should also seriously think about offloading Derrick Favors for a better fitting PF (LaMarcus Aldridge, please).

No, matter fact let him go east so Kawhi has one less SF to worry about (3 - 4 × a year).

I can't figure out why Miami didn't make a run at Millsap. However the West is absolutely loaded.

Lol I don't even think the Cavs need LeBron next year to make the finals. Just rest him and waltz into the finals and pray that the west is a bloodbath that makes the Warriors work next year.

Not sure I'd let him walk for nothing unless you're that confident in Bojan(assuming he's back but I'm guessing bringing in Meeks pretty much means he's gone)or Oubre replacing his production/value on the court long term(im not)but can understand not wanting to make him your highest paid player on THIS particular team.

I can't figure out why Miami didn't make a run at Millsap.

I'm pretty content with Winslow and James Johnson at the four.

I think Hayward would be a much better fit for us than Millsap. Can't always rely on the likes of Ellington, McGruder and Babbitt to stretch our offense

Woj messing up out here. Just tweeted out that Kyle Lowry has agreed to a 3 year, 100 million dollar deal but included no team. I'm assuming to stay in Toronto.

33m is a steep price, but needed to happen. A 3 year window for Raptors to go all in. Everyone knows if nothing happens after 2,then year 3 we could see guys shipped out as rentals. That'd help rebuilding process big time being able to turn around your team so quickly after one era is done.

I wonder if we see deals coming.
Joseph + maybe 2nd pick to Pacers for 1st pick
Carroll + Raptors 1st pick to Nets for nothing
JV to someone for starting wing player

Though it wouldn't be worst idea going after Carmelo. 1 year of Melo and all it might cost is 2 less years of Carroll + a late 1st and maybe Joseph to balance salaries?

Lot of money for a core with little to no upside but at the same time, there weren't much better(read: realistic)options for them to improve so they might as well bring back the same group and hope for the best.
