Pour one out for the up and coming Jazz ...

Can't say I blame Hayward -- with all the talent in the West, they would likely have been competing for a 6th, 7th, or 8th seed. Celtics, with Hayward (and a likely trade of one of their free agents next year), are set up to be the top dog of the East and an extremely tough matchup in the playoffs.
Utah needs Rodney Hood to make the leap this season to replace some of what Hayward brought to the table. Still a team with Rubio, Favors, and Gobert as the main headliners is basically what the Timberwolves were last year -- a squad that people will pick as a dark-horse playoff contender, but won't get there really.
I feel legitimately bad for the Jazz and small-market teams -- the talent exodus is real.
EDIT:
Or maybe not? Gordon, make up your mind, man.Last edited by trekfan; 07-04-2017, 01:42 PM.Comment
