Who? Pretty sure KD doesn't have a no trade.

      Yeah KD

      @MarkDeeksNBA

EXTREMELY IRRELEVANT SIDE NOTE: Durant will now have the ability to veto any trade he is in.

Hayward meeting with the Jazz is over. 3 and a half hours at his San Diego home.

        Now we wait.

Hmmm....this deal must be a one year with an option for the second then. Only way he could have veto power on a trade with Golden State cause he isn't eligible to have one negotiated into his contract.

If he likes living out in San Diego, he might as well stay in Utah. Long flights from Miami and Boston.

But he's more likely to make more all-star teams from the EC, as well as playoff berths.

He was however in line for the 120% increase over his cap hold and he took even less than that. Which is just wild.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he just putting it off by another year? Won't they have his Bird Rights next year and he'll the full max then?

If he stays, Jazz are essentially a lock for a playoff spot. Probably could contend for the 2nd seed.

I'm not sure if All-Star appearances are much of a priority at this point.

Yes and no. He was always gonna do another 1+1 so he could get to the full 35% max plus max bonuses next year but he still let Jacob slide on the standard 120% over the current salary this year and that's money he can't get back.

Will it impact Durant's life, no. I'm just not with giving Lacob a financial break when he's basically printed money over 3 years. It's just not a good look.

You see they didn't even try Curry with that nonsense.

Yeah the only thing may be that Lacob could hook him up with his VC connections.

That and he's really motivated to keep the team together. Maybe he thought Warriors would have moved on from Iggy.

You see they didn't even try Curry with that nonsense.
Some people have said Curry and Lacob aren't on the warmest terms. Lacob may have been part of the faction who wanted to trade him for Bogut instead of Monta.

But Curry is the face of the franchise and even at the full max contract, he generates a lot of revenues for the team. Besides sellouts at home and being a big draw on the road, his jersey has been among the best-sellers the past 3 years. Team gets all the merchandising sales revenues.

I have a feeling Hayward is going to Boston. If you love Utah and you can get the most $ from the Jazz, why make them sweat it out like this.

I don't see Heyward as a guy who's looking to make headlines. I don't think he'd go on this tour if he wasn't serious about leaving.

I could be wrong but I don't see the point of all this if he's just going to stay.

Let him and his family enjoy their moment. I can't knock the guy for exploring all of his options.

Besides, it's been 3 teams in 3 days.

Because he genuinely wants to assess all his options? He seems like a nice dude and might feel it's disrespectful to not at least listen to what all these teams interested in him have to say? Not saying any of this is the case, but those are legit reasons.

Got this from NetsDaily in regards to the Nets taking salary dumps(They're not taking on Faried)

There are a number of teams looking for help. As Bobby Marks (not Sean) and Zach Lowe noted on Lowe’s podcast Monday, Denver is looking to dump Kenneth Faried’s contract so it can bid for George Hill. Faried, the Newark product, is owed $26.7 million over two.

Bobby Marks also said that before the Rockets used some cap management magic to acquire Chris Paul last week, teams were demanding two first rounders to take on former Net Ryan Anderson, who’s owed $60 million over three.
