That was the first thing that stood out to me lol

This is about where I expected him to end up – initially leaning toward leaving Utah* then torn on actually pulling trigger.

If he were leaning toward staying, wouldn’t a strong impression from the Jazz push him over the top rather than leaving him torn?

It’s similar to my read last year on Kevin Durant, who ultimately made the uncomfortable and bold choice to leave the only NBA team he had ever played for. That paid off for him – so much that he’s now giving the Warriors a curiously large discount.

Will Hayward follow the same path or return to Utah, where he has clearly developed an emotional attachment?

Bucks need guys that can create and then make shots. Rose doesn't. And he'd be worse in our defensive system than Jabari currently is.

If it's like a 2 year, $25ish million deal and we shed Delly/Henson/Hawes (not all of them but maybe two) and no draft pick, I'd still be mad but could move on. If we give up a draft pick of any kind for Rose, I'll be very upset.

Where are you reading that potential deal from?

Absolutely nowhere. I honestly don't expect him to come to Milwaukee unless we're like the only option for him, and in that case, I think we could potentially squeeze him into the MLE.

I guess just based on my own extremely low opinion of him, I'm hoping we wouldn't trade anyone of legitimate value for him. If it's a Delly for Rose kinda thing or Henson for Rose kinda thing, great. It would be laughable for us to give up Monroe, Jabari, or a 1st round pick for him

George Hill turned down 80 from the Jazz mid-season to end up taking 57 from the Kings.

Definitely wanted Hill but not mad at him for signing a 3 year contract with the kings. Z-Bo a decent pick up.

I think its a good move for Hill. He got paid, he'll probably split his minutes at the 1 and 2, and he'll also probably be the leader of the team. He'll probably work well with all those kids. I think it's good for the Kings too, they may have overpaid some, but that's what a team like Sacramento has to do to get free agents to go there.

We'll see how it plays out, because we know that they have traditionally been a train wreck of an organization but it seems like they have completely changed the culture of their team overnight. They're not going to make the playoffs, but I don't think that they want to tank, so going to bring in what ever pieces they can to win some games.

As I said in the Laker thread, with only one year deals on the table, the Lakers are going to be plan C and D for most players.

I think Randolph will be a good fit for the Kings from a mentor/leadership standpoint. Plus he played under Joerger in Memphis so there's the familiarity aspect of it.

But yeah, Hill(or more likely his agent)played himself on his new deal. He's still getting paid obviously but...$80 Mil on a playoff team will always look better on paper than $57 Mil, lol
