Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I mean, Cleveland is reportedly offering him $2 million for one year. There's pretty much no risk to this move for them.
I'm just thanking god the Bucks aren't signing him to be a starter.NFL: Bills

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
There's no player out there just waiting to be signed that solves CLE's problems. As long as you arent overpaying them, take who you can get.
A bit surprised Rose wants to be a back up though...if this comes true..

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
The amount of energy spent by opposing point guards trying to cover Kyrie and D Rose for 48 minutes will only be matched by the energy saved from being able to just walk right past them on the other end.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Team still has no GM, has no money apparently but yet signs Jeff Green, Kyle Korver, Jose Calderon and Derrick Rose to an already aging roster.
A+ Offseason right there. Thank goodness they have God Mode Lebron for one more year.#RespectTheCultureComment

Not so much sure it's a matter of him wanting to do it as opposed to him very little option but to do it. You look around the league and there's really no fit for him. Contending teams all have capable starting point guards and don't really need him to start. Fringe contending/playoff teams either have capable starting point guards or have a roster/system in place that isn't conducive to the player he is now while everyone else have gone into rebuilds that don't fit adding an off injured, aging point guard.
Really sucks to see him have to go through this. Nature of the beast though I guess.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
They are, but aren't they saying **** it and just letting the Greek Freak act as their point guard? Derrick probably gonna hurt that concept more than help it. Plus side, he finally figured out he wasn't good at shooting threes and cut that down a ton

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Brogdon had a great debut season but I dunno how much upside he has. He's already around the same age or older than other top PGs in the league. I really think the Bucks could have benefitted from him.
Now, with Kyrie, Rose and Calderon we have extra scoring and a pass first PG in the same way that Williams was. Maybe Rose or Kyrie will get time at shooting guard in a small ball system which will be awful defensively but we're at a point now where we've grown this culture of just being a sieve on defense anyway, no point in turning back now.
