I said this in another post but Brogdon was an old rookie. He'll be 25 in December and is less than a year younger than Irving. To me that hurts his overall ceiling and potential. You hope that he'll one day be the player Kyrie or even Thomas is. Now the benefit would be Brogdon being on a rookie deal as he reaches his prime but I personally would take a chance on a young top prospect in next year's draft.

Remember everyone going crazy over the 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2016 drafts?

Me neither. Feel like everyone knew there was only 1 or 2 guys worth a damn in those drafts.

NBA teams have always loved the unknown when it comes to future drafts.

Add in the first round pick they'd include and Cavs are set for now and when LeBron walks out that door.

ok if the Bucks offer is in play it's similar but it is not better. I love Brogdon but if that's what you get out of a top 3 projected pick in a v good draft that's not what you want at all.

and Middleton/Crowder are very similar players you might trust Middleton's shot more though. I think Middleton is probably better but that's splitting hairs.

I can see the argument tho the Bucks is the better offer as far a win now stance because lebron would probably rather have Brogdon than the BKN pick lol. But it's clear CLE really wants the BKN pick.

Oh I certainly do especially before and during the season on here.

Matter of fact, I've yet to see the words "Strong/Deep/Best Draft" NOT get posted on here around this same time since I've been posting here. [emoji23]

Pack may be influencing me, or it might just be because I'm tired of hearing about the value of that Brooklyn pick, maybe even that Danny seems like he has a horseshoe stuck up his *** with the fortune he seems to have on him. I don't know, but I feel like it's not going to end up being a top 3 pick. I don't think the Nets are going to be as bad as they were last year. The odds of them being trash enough to land in the top 3 of the draft for a third consecutive season and pick number 1 overall back-to-back? I just don't see it.

Just heard on Twitter Woj said (I'd imagine on SC) that the deal is getting done with no extra compensation.

And Woj now claims the graphic was false and he hadn't reported it.

Damn it, this does not help our losing efforts. If we want that number 1 pick we need a steady diet of Cam Payne for ALL 82 games man.

Brogdon being Rookie of the Year speaks more about how weak this rookie class performed than his potential.
