Exactly. Also have to think Lebron is definitely gone next year. Unless they flip the BKN pick and something else for one of his guys like Eric Bledsoe.

Depending on how the teams start off, Cavs should flip the picks for either AD (best case) or Drummond & Avery, if there's any chance of LeBron staying.

If the picks were enough for AD I think the Celtics would have been all over that deal.

Long time until the trade deadline though so we'll see what happens.

Like Scott said if AD was available, he isn't, the Celtics would've been all over that deal and not even bothering with guys like George, Butler, and Irving. But he isn't available now and won't be for until next offseason at the earliest. The Pelicans only got something like 25-30 games with Boogie and AD on the floor together. So they wanna take AT LEAST half of the season if not more to see if they mesh well together. And if they don't mesh together, AD isn't the guy that will be on the trade block, it'll be Boogie.

There's not a chance in hell they're getting Davis. Boston wasn't getting him with that pick and the Cavs sure as hell ain't getting him with that. The only hope ANY team has of getting Davis out of New Orleans is if he goes Kyrie and makes his unhappiness there known. Dude is under contract for like another 2 or 3 years? They ain't trading him now just cause.

AD is the pipe dream of every NBA fan and team. If he ever becomes available it will be absolute chaos in the NBA world. Teams will be offering everything from players, picks to historical land marks.

hypotheticals!! haha (no matter how absurd it is)

But agreed, Boogie would be the first to go if it ever got to that point.

So is IT going to be ready for the start of the season? If not can the Cavs with Derrick Rose at the point get off to a good start?

Also what is their starting 5?

It seems unlikely IT is ready to start the season. Right now it's up in the air. I heard one report within the last few days that said there is a chance he could miss a majority, if not all, of the season. He'll be doing everything he can to get back on the court as soon as possible.

Obviously he could improve. But he's also already almost 25 years old. I'm not expecting him to blossom into a star like you'd be hoping for with the Brooklyn pick.

Don't get me wrong. I love Brogdon, and that's one of the reasons why I was so uneasy about the Bucks offering him and Middleton for Kyrie. But there's simply no ****ing way that Cleveland is hoping this Brooklyn pick turns into Brogdon.

This is very true. I think DraftExpress has been saying that there's like 7 different guys that teams believe could potentially be the #1 pick this year. Personally, I only see 3 but I guess we'll see. It should still be a pretty top-heavy draft though.

and Middleton/Crowder are very similar players you might trust Middleton's shot more though. I think Middleton is probably better but that's splitting hairs.

I can see the argument tho the Bucks is the better offer as far a win now stance because lebron would probably rather have Brogdon than the BKN pick lol. But it's clear CLE really wants the BKN pick.
I'll stick up for my Bucks here. Middleton is a borderline all-star. Crowder simply is not. I think Middleton is roughly the 6th or 7th best SG in the NBA.

I'd guess their lineup (before Isaiah returns from injury) will be:

                              Rose
                              JR

Won't matter for the Cavs because they won't be picking nowhere near the top unless it's their own pick, which I'm not even sure they have.
