Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
They are reporting that the trade has been finalized.
I like the lineup of Fultz, Covington, Simmons, Saric, Embiid. I rather them try to get a veteran 3&D Shooting guard.
If it gets done on Monday, it leaves Boston plenty of time to discuss a trade for a star veteran. I dont see the point of stock piling picks if you aren't rebuilding and not trying to trade for a superstarComment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Per WojGod
Sixers needed Fultz workout/meeting to complete deal w/ Celtics and, as expected, sides have deal for No. 1 pick. Trade call planned Monday.

Fultz wouldn't have gone into workout with No. 3 without assurance trade was agreed upon. Sides have been locked into deal for 24 hours. https://t.co/IiWBLU8A6z

Lakers had interest in pursuing a deal for No. 1 pick/Fultz, but Sixers ability to potentially deliver 3 FRP's in deal too much to overcome. https://t.co/9aBUwqVMiq

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Would be great if the Lakers took Jackson now to stick it to the Celtics.
I'm not understanding Ainge's gameplan here. You got the number 1 you were looking for, so you traded it to move back to 3 to get two protected first round picks, 1 of them coming from a team who is on the upswing with young talent that could help them make a quick leap and could potentially be landing Paul George in a trade this offseason or before the trade deadline next season?Comment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Smart move by Boston they already have enough guards as it is and they can end up with Jackson or Tatum for example as well as that future Lakers pick which unless they make a major splash in free agency next year or their guys hit their ceiling like now should still be a sweet pick. It's a risk, but it is a calculated risk as it stands worth jumping on it. Same for Philly, this is a gamble that can either pay off big or end up being another RGIII scenario.Comment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Makes it a little better I guess. Kings will likely be trash for the next 150 years at least. Gotta hope that the Lakers pick pans out exactly how they hope. I think Danny might have over thought this thing.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Supposedly there are two schools of thought, build for 2018 or build for 2021 and beyond.
But if he's going to try to sign Hayward and Griffin, and then he's going to draft Jackson?
And he already used a #3 last year on Brown?
Guess you can't have enough wings.Comment
