    Re: 2017 Offseason Thread

If Cavs are interested in George, do people think they'd actually deal Kevin Love for him? Love for 2 years, or George for 1? Would George not only help them more next season, but give them that extra cap flexibility the following offseason(when Lebron can also opt out of his deal, either leaving to some diff team,or re-negotiating the deal to work with bringing in other guys).

And of course Pacers get Kevin Love for 2 years, or if they want to trade him before that, he'd give more value than George right now.

Lakers wise if they were thinking of just getting George now, only deal I could see happening is Brewer + Black for George. Both expire at end of the year anyways, so not exactly like Lakers are giving up much if anything for an extra year of George.

Celtics fans can correct me but isn't all the "logjam" talk more about Bradley and Smart than IT?

      And if it is..that's absurd.

Pacers want young players and picks so why only Corey Brewer of all people and Black? If the Lakers could pull that off with only those two, Rob Pelinka will be the best GM in NBA history, lol.

I really wish that report never came out. This is going be just like Melo forcing his trade to NYC. I hope we just stand pat & wait, highly doubt it though.

Indy taking back Kevin Love would be insane.

The Cavs picks..whatever they would be..would always be late rounders
            Love's salary is ridiculous.
His age and health is not on the uptick.

This is one of those situations where I say no way this happens. I know the Cavs always get what they want but unless a 3rd team steps in to facilitate this..it's not gonna happen.

Yea it's more about Bradley, Smart and Rozier. Also I'm with aerobee I don't buy that report at all.

Why would Indiana do that? They are looking for a haul as of now. Their not gonna give and team George and do them another favor in the process.

The lakers are giving up at least one of those core players and with monta caught on drug charges i could see Clarkson being an attractive piece too.

I can see the Lakers making the trade in order to free up cap space.

Not space for George, but space for another piece because a young nucleus with George and a head coach people like in Los Angeles suddenly becomes an attractive destination.

Keeping all of their youth AND adding George will put a strain on their cap and make it tougher to add another player.

Plus if they trade for George they will own his Bird Rights and they can hold off on re-signing him until after they add a free agent piece.

A lot of positives by making the trade. LA just needs to be smart about who they give up. If Magic handles himself, he only surrenders the players he doesn't see in the teams future.

I'd be disappointed but I'd undertand if they moved Randle cause he's going to get paid next year and I'am not sure they're crazy about him.

If you can move one of Deng or Mozgov contract in the trade it makes even more sense to do it.

Randle/clarkson/deng I think Magic does it without thinking about it too much.

I don't know how I missed these reports. First of all this kinda contradicts the stuff PG was saying just 3 days ago. Odd timing...

If true it's not surprising but I still think we could get some team to bite on him. If not then **** whoever leaked that news out.

Looking at those Deng and Mosgov contracts, man the Lakers are going to have to send some sweet **** back to Indiana to have any hope whatsoever that the Pacers would take one of those deals back. Deng still has 54 million over 3 years left on his contract and Mosgov has 48 million over 3 years left. You don't want to be a rebuilding team with either one of those guys making THAT and being pretty much useless to you dragging down your cap space.
