2017 Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
First off, much respect to the Jazz for how they handled the Clippers and for how they fought the last 2 games, especially without their starting PG.
Secondly, it ain't no justification game. To play and beat Lebron Multiple times in the Finals was/is going to take more than the Splash Bros.
I mean to be fair if you listen to Cav fans and Warrior haters they did need KD. Since the talk has been all about how they wouldn't have ever beat the Cavs if Kyrie and Love weren't hurt and then as soon as they both were healthy for the whole Finals they came back on GS.

Right but they barely lost lol. They didn't need a league MVP to go from losing the Finals in 7 games to winning it. Most teams add players like KD to go from fringe playoff contention to title contention... not adding them to make the difference between losing a game 7 in the Finals to winning it.

Warriors are just bull****. I don't find that team fun to watch at all. KD is just overkill. It's stupid.
Used to love watching them before KD. It felt organic.

Think the jazz would have won that game if they had a healthy george hill. They did a so many things right but in the end just couldn't find enough consistent scoring. Aside from hitting some clutch shots in Clippers series Hood has had a pretty miserable playoffs, 1-8 tonightComment

Jazz just can't score With them, not enough offensive pieces, and their may not be a single team that can when it's all said and done.

Thankfully, even if they ring (very likely) this year they'll probably lose either or both Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston. Those are two pretty big holes to fill even with Green, Thompson, Curry & Durant.
Also, this unknown medical issue could play a part in Kerr continuing to coach. After the league lost Flip Saunders the last thing they/we need is another good guy lost in any capacity, but his life means more than just basketball.

I think one of the big four leaves in the summer, and I still wouldn't be surprised if Durant is that one. That would be the ultimate ring chase. Get his one ring, validate his HoF credentials (even though he was already there) and then go back to OKC.

Anyway, after taking back home court I'm hoping the Spurs have another W in them. Jonathan Simmons and Patty Mills need to remain aggressive on offense while team defense needs to continue to be the biggest priority.
Can't lose focus and let the Rockets go off from the three-point line, again.

I didn't get enough calls in the last games because I wasn't selling it enough so I need to step up on that."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman
