to Toronto: SAR, Vladimir Stepania, Derek Anderson and MAYBE NVE

This definately gives Toronto a lot more cap room and it'll get rid of the sour baby Carter. I'm sure Reef would re-sign with TO if we have a half decent season and i'm sure he'll get along well with the Muslim community in Toronto. The Raptors are going to build this team from the ground up with the unselfish uptempo style that coach Mitchell has brought to the team.

This deal may hurt in the short term but it'll be looked upon as a key deal in a few yrs.

With this move would Morris Peterson start with Toronto??

Sorry to disagree guys but living in Toronto you don't realize how bad VC has become. He has basically become an fadeaway 3 point shooter who is injury prone and is probably the worst defender among starters. He's lazy and refuses to attack the basket. VC is still being judged on the slam dunk contest 4 years ago. He is not the same player There is no part of his game that is above average. At least Allen Houston can shoot if nothing else. If SAR is past his prime at least the Raps can choose to let him go at season's end.

VC was shopped all summer and no teams wanted any part of him. He is easily the most overrated player in the NBA. Attendance is down in Toronto and VC is booed on his home court by some. He is not highly thought of by most Raptor fans especially after his trade demand.

Toronto has realized that Bosh is thier future and they will build the team around him. Keeping Carter and Rose will only have a negative influence on Bosh. Toronto proposed the trade and are desperate to unload them both.

The trade hinges on Portland accepting the deal. Apparently Toronto will only trade Carter if it includes Rose. That's the enticement. They are that desperate to get rid of both. If Portland accepts this deal, they will regret it. These 2 guys are coach killers. The Blazer scouting dep't are not doing their job on this one. There is no upside for them to do this. That's why I find it hard to beleive Portland would be this stupid.

isn't shareef a 4 though. they already have chris bosh there, and i heard shareef doesn't really like playing the 3.

That would make the most sense, Peterson at SG and SAR at SF. Peterson has impressed me this year and is the Raps best defender thus far. He deserves to start although the Raps would miss his energy off the bench.

Apparently in the summer SAR wanted to be traded to the Nets and was willing to move to SF to do it so it shouldn't be a concern. He would still be an improvement over Rose no matter how you slice it.

If Carter goes West, things can get very interesting when the All-Star votes are announced. Either Kobe, T-Mac, KG, or Duncan will get left off of the Starting 5, and those are arguably 4 of the Top 5-8 players of the league.
