A homemade DVD shows Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony with a man who warns that people who tip police about drug deals "get a hole in their head."

The remark was apparently made in a conversation on a street in Baltimore, where Anthony grew up. In excerpts broadcast on television stations in Denver and Baltimore Thursday, Anthony does not appear to be participating in that part of the discussion.

It seems like the writer is contradicting himself there, and making a bit of a stretch to incriminate Carmelo.

Furthermore, regarding the Olympic bronze medal comment.. The Olympics are a joke to USA basketball lately... Look who we sent, look who didn't go. Look at the reasons they didn't go. Carmelo is just stating what most of the NBA and fans already know, so I don't think they will come down on him too hard for that.

I think I am going to side with Carmelo here. It seems this journalist is trying to hard to dig up dirt. From what I gather, Carmelo wasn't even a part of the discussion that headlined the article.. what?

I dont care what happens to your team at the Olympics regardless of if you dont get the gold winning an olympic medal whether its gold, silver, or bronze is an honor and to not be proud of it and claim to "throw it in a lake" is an absolute disgrace. Athletes all over the world work their asses off to get a Bronze in their sport and what Melo said is just shameful

I dont care what happens to your team at the Olympics regardless of if you dont get the gold winning an olympic medal whether its gold, silver, or bronze is an honor and to not be proud of it and claim to "throw it in a lake" is an absolute disgrace. If you really think that all the other players on Melo's olympic team are cherishing that stupid medal, then you're out of your mind. All the best players didn't even go, and the players who did go could care less about a bronze medal.

You're comparing apples and oranges. The '72 team got screwed multiple times and deservingly so didn't accept their medals. Most athletes work their butts off for years just to be able to make the Olympics. For someone fortunate enough to even win a medal to say that they threw it away IS shameful. And blatant disrespect for athletes that work hard to make the Olympic dream a reality.
