Miller was a former allstar, Camby is a good player, just injury prone, Nene is a beast down low, Lenard is a great shooter, Boykins and Andersen is/was instant energy off the bench, so don't say Melo was the reason they went to the playoffs, cause I saw two guys who were more important to that teams sucess, Camby and Miller. Carmelo did play at first in the Olympics, but his no D playing *** along with a horrid shot selection got his *** a spot on the bench. Melo is a selfish me first player and is exactly whats wrong with the NBA. And if you think for one second that the pot is his bag wasn't his you're in denial, like he couldn't easily say "hey man take the rap for this, I'll buy you a Hummer" but such an upstanding citizen such as Mr. Anthony would never ever do such a thing. Right?
Once again, I did not say Melo was in Jordan's league, NO ONE IS! So don't put words into my mouth. Secondly, I didn't say any of the other Nuggets players were bad, and I already remarked that it takes a TEAM EFFORT in order to win in anyting involving a team sport. Although I will say that you are overvaluing most of those players. Camby was very valuable to his team last year, but looking at his stats, 8 pts per game and 10 boards aren't exactly "sexy stats". As a matter of fact, I dont' think any of the players, besides Carmelo, on the Nuggets even averaged over 20 pts per game. What is funny to me is the fact that you are arguing about a player who has spent a total of 1 and a quarter year in the NBA so far. You talk about him as if he's been in the league for many years, HE WAS BASICALLY STILL A ROOKIE ON THE OLYMPIC TEAM. My goodness, give the guy a little time to mature as a pro basketball player for goodness sake. He takes stupid shots, BIG DEAL, you think Kobe didn't take stupid shots in his early years? You think McGrady wasn't angry when he had to share the spotllight and give up valuable playing time when Vince Carter was on his team? What I'm trying to get at is that these players eventually blossomed into some of the best basketball players in the NBA today, WITH TIME. Not everyone will be as mature as Magic Johnson and lead his team to an NBA title in his rookie year. Not everyone matures at the same rate as others, you should know that through your own personal experiences. He had weed in his back, OK, Ray Lewis probably killed a man, but people don't bombared him about it. Give the kid a break, he's not even at the age where he can drink alcohol and your crucifiying him as if he's some scrub vetaran basketball player. Once again, I repeat, if you haven't made a mistake ever in your life, then you should get a Nobel prize for being the first ever PERFECT individual.

People don't give Lewis crap about killing someone? I sure as hell still do. And there's a huge difference between Kobe, Carter and McGrady when compared to Melo, they're all super athletic and high risers. Melo is not, he's NEVER gonna reach superstar level, Glenn Robinson with worse shot selection, infact Big Dog was prolly more athletic than Melo.
