Re: 2018 Off-Season Thread
Lakers are going to win 50+ games. Cavs won 50 game last year and he split most his court time with Jeff Green and JR Smith due to all their injuries and roster turnover. Had Ball and Ingram not missed 30 and 20 games respectively they would have hit at least 40 wins.
They dropped 6 straight when Lonzo first went down, and 19 of their losses were games he was out. Out of their top 6-7 guys 3 were rookies, and Ingram is 20, Randle 23, Pope 24. These guys were going to be better this season without adding anyone.
Also, I don't believe they are done. Kawhi this year or not, I don't think this is their final roster just yet.Last edited by ojandpizza; 07-02-2018, 01:59 PM.Comment

Re: 2018 Off-Season Thread
Also, all this talk about the LeBron side. What do you guys think the Cavs move here is? David Griffin had said on NBA radio that he believes the East is open enough that they will keep Love and co and try to compete for a playoff spot. Not a lot out there in terms of free agency, but if they retain Hood and he comes out of his shell a bit they should be decent at least right?
Time to see what Lue has in his bag, he didn't show much over the past couple years, especially once Kyrie was gone. Might be the time he can actually use some of what he learned from Phil and Doc over the years to establish an actual system. Surely to God he will finally give Cedi the run he deserves, if not I would love to see him go elsewhere and get a shot.Comment

I really thought he was headed to LAL. That's been a "thing" for about a year now, they he would be heading there with LeBron. Since the LeBron thing happened I expected him to follow honestly.Comment

Re: 2018 Off-Season Thread
I actually think OKC will be a top 3 seed in the West. Another year of Russ, PG, Melo figuring it all out, Roberson back, adding Noel to back up Adams, another year of improvement from the young guys Grant, Ferguson, Abrines.. They have a good team for as much **** as PG is getting right now. I think all this talk of "if he wants to win he picked the wrong team" is a bit premature at this point.Comment

Re: 2018 Off-Season Thread
Nerlens is better than those DNPs he racked up in Dallas....solid pick up for OKC IMO...

Re: 2018 Off-Season Thread
My issue is all the people saying LA is now a sudden Top 4 seed.
Come on.
The West is a COMPLETELY different animal. LeBron's not going to be able to coast his way to a Top 4 seed like it's nothing. Plus everything about not having help... as it stands right now, Kevin Love is a far better player than any of his current teammates in LA. Obviously this changes if they trade for Kawhi, but as of right now, I'm not entirely convinced this Lakers team is going to be Playoff material, unless Adam Silver does a quick change and makes the Playoffs 1-16.
GSW, HOU, Utah, and New Orleans are all better squads right now IMO.
