The length, versatility, and defensive ability...(drools).
Also gives you a chance to see how healthy kawhi is before trading the house for him. Iam afraid Lebron aint got no time for this **** though

If he likes it there why not sign for 4 years? Also, it’s all about that money man.

I think this is all it is, tbh....seems he bought into the culture there at OKC and built a good relationship with RWB. I'm not even mad at 'em, sometimes it's all about comfort.

If "people on the internet will say bad things about me" is what really deterred him from signing with LA and playing with Bron...well, Lakers probably dodged a bullet picking someone who is mentally fragile...

I hear you but he’s also said how much winning means to him. I could’ve understood a scenario where he signed a 1+1 because he likes OKC and Russ and is willing to give it another shot, but instead he committed the last great years of his prime to them after a very underwhelming first season. Is what it is though. I hope it works for him as far as the winning side goes but don’t think it will. Especially with LeBron and his sidekick Lance out West now lol.

In all fairness to Paul George, maybe his mindset is that he has a good bond with RWB and the OKC organization and both of them are still in their respective primes while no offense to LeBron but that Lakers team is still a huge unknown. Like everyone knows LeBron is great, one of the greatest to ever play but how do we know the other young Lakers are going to handle this overwhelming pressure, what if they aren't able to play up to these now suddenly championship aspirations in year 2 or year 3 of being in the league. Even worse what if LeBron's workload finally starts catching up at 34 or he suffers his first major career injury (similar to how Kobe was fabled for his Ironman level of play and one major injury suddenly ended things). On top of that, what if basically the entire team sans a few players is getting traded for Kawhi and now you suddenly have no depth. I mean I can't blame Paul George from leaving a known to go to an unknown people can clown him all they want for wanting to play with RWB (I might throw a few barbs in myself) but dude wanted to basically be where he felt comfortable at.

After hearing more about LeBron to LA it makes a lot more sense. I already got the lifestyle family. But I was just hearing about how much LeBron respects Magic's business acumen and wants to get as much of that from him as possible for his own endeavors. Magic was a great player (terrible coach and commentator, awful...) but he's been damn near as good as a business man. Smart in Bron.

This is underrated pickup IMO. Pelicans have been in cap hell for god knows how long now; being able to scoop up anyone solid is pretty good for them.

It’s just a lazy narrative that people like to go with. I wonder if we would accuse him of taking the “easy way out” if he teamed up with Lebron and possibly Kawhi? [emoji848]

Obviously, he doesn't care about winning now. Otherwise, he would have gone to the Sixers or Rockets. The Lakers will be better, but still not close to the Rockets or Warriors.

Am I the only one that thinks the Rockets are due for a step back this year? The West outside of them and the Warriors last year was terrible and this year looks much improved. The rockets don't have a real defense wing on the roster and looks like they will lose a few other bench players. They don't have any real way to improve the roster for like the next 3 years. If they face the Lakers in the playoffs my $ goes on Lebron.

Yeah, for 99% of pro athletes it all about money and that's likely the case with George. I think it's that simple with him re-upping with OKC.
