If I had to pick a team to be replaced by LA in the postseason, it's Portland IMO. Too much uncertainty and possibly some friction between their stars and their front office.

Yeah, historically LeBron adds 15 wins to a team he joins... in the East. This ain't the East.

I honestly don't think you followed the Lakers much last year just based on some of your posts and underrating the team and coaching as a whole.

We were one of the better defensive teams in the league until we got IT. Lol. We were one of the best teams at defending the 3pt line all year. And now we've added more defense with Bron, McGee and Stephenson.

In the second half of the season, the team was pretty damn competitive. Lakers were playing +.500 bball in 2018. The months of January and February brought us within a few games of the final seed. We sputtered to finish the season with injuries to Lonzo and Ingram at the end of the year. And despite people's jokes and annoyance with Lavar, Lonzo is a really good player and his presence on the court made the entire team better on both ends of the floor. That mf just needs to hit his open shots and free throws lol.

The one thing we didn't have was a reliable scorer to lean on every night. Enter LeBron...aka the NBAs best player.

Aside from GS and Hou...it should surprise no one if the Lakers finish as high as 3rd this season.

Really great deal for Utah. Maintain cap flexibility for next summer while getting Derrick paid in the meantime.

For comparison, Serge Ibaka signed 3 years $65M last year.

With speculation of Favors adding a three-ball next year, this is perfect IMO. If he adds it and can be viable next to Gobert offensively, we'll definitely retain him.

Lottery team as long as they have Westbrook, come on now OJ, stick with the theme.

And now that Noel is gone, the Wiz need to do something about that 5 spot. Noel would’ve been perfect so unless they have a deal with Cousins, their pickings are getting slimmer and slimmer.

Can't believe he would pick that loser Westbrook and PG over the Lakers with Bron who is 33 and guys who have never sniffed the playoffs.

                Might end up with Dwight.

Yeah I'm genuinely curious what Washington is going to do especially missing out on Noel basically for peanuts.

In that locker room, yikes! He’ll be an improvement for them defensively, I’m just worried about the other issues with him.

I think Ingram will be the first one gone along with Julius.

I don't see that "special, untouchable"in him anyway.

I think Kobe's interview today kinda indirectly alluded to similar feelings.

He kept mentioning kuzma and lonzo learning and growing..and the "others"

That's what makes the most sense, especially if they do get Kawhi in some sort of deal. Ingram is a better replacement for the Spurs, and Kuzma is a better fit to play off Bron and Kawhi.. Works best for both sides IMO.

Randle is interesting, I think he would play well with that group, but if that lands them Kawhi I think he would need to go out rather than Kuzma still. Maybe there are other options outside of Kawhi they are exploring. Who knows at this point.

They've yet to offer Randle a deal and most likely because they're working on acquiring something else in the meantime.

I'm more ready for the Spurs to get it over with so we can hear from Kawhi himself and not bspn Woji and the two fat stooges writing joint articles.
