    Paul George on his decision to remain with the Oklahoma City Thunder;

The third part of Paul George decision documentary has been released following his agreement to re-sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder on a four-year, $137 million contract.

George agreed to join with the Thunder at the start of free agency and didn't take a meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers.

"It's been very stressful," said George. "It has not been an easy decision. I 100 percent appreciate Laker Nation for wanting me to come back home, for wanting to play in front of them.

"I wanted to come here a year ago prior to going to OKC. Unfortunately, I wasn't traded to the Lakers. The Lakers didn't grab me. I was traded to Oklahoma. And that has been a beautiful thing for me."

George explained his experience with the Thunder.

"(The Thunder) just being hands on, being open, being honest. Keeping that relationship authentic. I thought everything has just been real. The relationship with Sam (Presti). Connecting with Russ (Westbrook). I feel a family and brotherhood in that organization.

I don’t buy that as being the real reason to why he wouldn’t go doesn’t make much sense to me.

According to Joel Meyers, the Pelicans had an offer as recently as the past week where they were offering "more than twice what he signed for with the Warriors."

So even if it was $10M per... There goes the "no offers" excuse that Cousins tried giving out to protect his image.

Bitchmade move IMO but I get where he's coming from. I'm just confused why he would lie about not getting offers and not think anyone would call him out on it

The internet is too funny man.

So he tried to be slick and should have took the Pelicans offer because he's coming off injury even though two days ago missing out on Paul George was cool for the Lakers because they could just go get DeMarcus Cousins to pair with LeBron and Kawhi even though nobody was talking about paying him a reduced salary or a short term contract or anything less than a max deal. The season may as well not even be played and we need to institute a hard cap and change the CBA and all this other bull**** because he signed with the Warriors, but wanting a big contract is absurd because he's coming off injury? I can't with this stuff man lmao
I don't get what you're saying. It's not absurd that he wanted a big contract, it's absurd that he turned one down that NO offered in April and it's absurd he essentially panicked and called up the Dubs himself on DAY 2 of free agency. And then the whole documentary crew thing...Idk what that's about but I just find it all odd.

The issue here is it appears he lied and tried to make himself look like he got ZERO offers when multiple reports are now confirming he did indeed get multiple offers. He just took an easy out and is getting an easy ring while he rehabs and attempts to showcase himself for next year, but it looks like he tried to put some revenge/victim spin on it to justify him taking an easy ring.

Basically what common sense tells us.

Spurs are about to mess around and not get anything worth a damn for him. I think it’s clear the Lakers won’t trade Lonzo or Kuzma, but with LeBron, Kawhi, Lance, they wouldn’t have a huge need for Ingram and that is the one player on the Lakers roster that would be something the Spurs need.

Realistically in that type of scenario he should jump to about 20 ppg next season, and he’s only 20 years old. That’s 7 years under Pop to get to the stage Kawhi is at now. Who knows how much he’ll develop in that time frame.

I really think if the Spurs met them in the middle and said give us Ingram, Hart, and a first or two we’ll give back Kawhi, Green, and take in Deng’s contract. I think the Lakers would take that trade, whether they should or shouldn’t, and the Spurs would have their SG and SF of the future to bring along with Murray for years to come.

Realistically the Lakers shouldn’t do that, they should just wait him out at this point. But I think they would do that trade if the Spurs were to give in. If not I think Ingram flourishes this year alongside Bron and the Spurs feel like they ****ed up.

Also not sure what the offers for Lopez look like but shouldn’t the Lakers try to bring him back? Even if it’s also on a one year cheap kind of deal. With his ability to hit outside shots now you’d think they would want that ability to spread the floor to stagger with what they get from McGee. Somewhat surprised he wasn’t on GS radar, and maybe he was before Cousins.

Nobody is looking to get fleeced and nobody is that desperate.

If they don't want to give him the max and want to play that separation game with Kawhi and the his group stuff don't expect anyone else to value what you don't.

Also according to trade finder, that Ingram, Hart, Deng for Kawhi, Green swap doesn’t change either teams projected wins/losses. Whatever algorithm they use for that likely isn’t 100% accurate obviously, but it’s projected to be basically an even swap. Which is likely the best the Spurs could hope for at this point.

I don't see how the Spurs go up from here unless they fleece somebody.

They're headed for a transition and in sure they know it.

Lakers just started so they just got a few core guys they plan on working with into the future.

Realistically I think the Lakers should try dumping that Deng contract to Atlanta with a pick for Dedmon. I don’t think people expected him to be back there this year anyways, and he’s basically a JaVale that shoots 3’s too. Don’t know if Atlanta is still looking to take on a contract for picks though.
