Conference finals loss at best. Don’t let Windbag set you up for this disappointment man. They ain’t getting Kawhi and they definitely ain’t getting Jimmy.

Like you said already, that's a lot of crow lol.

But I don't think it's a stupid deal for Toronto as you said. I think it's good for them to mix things up. Even if it's only one season at worst. Who knows, maybe Toronto's rabid fan base will endear themselves to KL and he decides to stay. I doubt that happens tho.

Danny Green getting traded like this after all these years is just disrespectful smh. Jakob Potel will be a good addition to the spurs.

Toronto definitely won this trade. I don’t see where all the negativity is coming from, sure they got rid of DeMar and the fans will he upset and this all might only be for a season, but that’s apart of the game. Kawhi is light years ahead of DeMar when fully healthy.

Did you blame the whole country of Canada? lol
I get what you saying tho.
The Raptors have to hope the Lakers get off to a horrible start and LeBron demands they grade the farm for Kawhi.

          Woj:

Spurs have agree to trade Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to Toronto for DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick, league sources tell ESPN. Trade call with league office is starting shortly.

This is a home run for Toronto IMO.

What are the odds kawhi stays next summer ? Honestly I would think really slim.

San Antonio is making out pretty well when you consider the prospect of them losing Leonard for nothing. They got an All Star in Demar whos locked up, and big prospect in Poertl. They're losing Green but still. They won almost 50 games without Kawhi. I have to think they'll be better now.

According to Woj, Toronto's first round pick to the Spurs is protected 1-20. After one year, it becomes two second-round picks.

Keep in mind people said the same thing about Paul George staying in OKC when he was traded

Toronto gets a year to convince Kawhi to stay long term or they jumpstart the rebuild process next offseason.

Being completely unbiased(shocker I know)looking at it from their standpoint, it’s a risk that I would take if it means getting the old Kawhi back before the injuries, which we won’t know until the season starts.

Lowry is a far better player than DeRozan. If Kawhi returns to being a top 5-10 player again, Toronto is going to be very dangerous in the East IMO. And then if he walks in the offseason, they can start a rebuild without having to deal with DeRozan's contract. A protected 1st and Poeltl is easily worth the gamble IMO.

                              Lowry is better than DeRozan.

Until April, then he crumbles like an Avenger from Infinity War.

Maybe this will FINALLY be the playoffs he shows up in for more than one round.
