A sign and trade Boogie for Porter and Gortat makes a lot of sense to me. I'm not sure how Pelicans fans and most importantly AD would feel about that, but it certainly gives NOLA two things they're in desperate need of (a big wing and a tough center).
I'm down for sign and trade,..then just hope we hit on the draft and Kelly makes that next jump

Wizards best way to improve the roster is to keep finding guys like Mike Scott. He had his “character issues” that pretty much kept him in FA, Wiz took a chance and he played himself into a better deal this offseason.

Noel would be a perfect guy to go after.

I just don't think Noel will come cheap and with the contracts or Gortat and Manhimi that's a no go..

Would you give up Kelly oubrie and a future 1 to dump one of the contracts ? I don’t think a future 1st alone will be enough

Noel was pretty much a DNP-CD for half of the season(Sad considering he was a perfect fit for Carlisle’s system)caught a 5 game suspension by the league, had the Hot Dog incident.

If there was ever a chance to buy low on him, it would be now because he’s killed his own value this past year. He bet on himself and he lost. Which is good for the Wiz.

Porter is not a build around guy lol

So does what's happening in DC right now make the situation for the Wizards better or worse? I'm talking of course about the Captials winning the Stanley Cup tonight for the non-hockey fans here.

Worse because they are probably the worst of the 4 major teams despite having a superstar and being expected to at least be competitive in the playoffs.

On the topic of the Wizards do you think about trading Wall ? His contract has the potential to be one of the worst in the NBA down the line with 40.8 million in 20/21, 43.8 in 21/21 and 46.8 in 22/23. I don't think anyone believes the big 3 of Wall. Porter and Beal are enough to win a championship over the next few years.

I think it's clear to anybody watching the Wizards the idea of Porter being included as a big name is not going to happen. There's rarely any offensive focus on him much less anything run through him. He's a glue guy that has a pretty decent shooter's streak, but he has trouble creating off the dribble and has little ability to post up with his frame.

Wall/Beal can work as we've seen them run fairly deep into the playoffs several times over the past 4 or 5 seasons. The lack of an effective and threatening big man has hurt Wall and Gortat's pick and roll effectiveness. Gortat is terribly slow to react and roll to the basket on a consistent basis. His limited and diminishing range is quickly being antiquated in today's league.

There's more than one hole to clog up, but Gortat's inabilities should be addressed first.

Has no effect whatsoever consider it’s Redskins first and then whatever team is good at the moment as #2.

                              LeBron going to Boston.

Sign and trade with Cleveland the same way Chris Paul went to Houston, Kyrie goes to the Knicks, Cavs get a mass of picks and take on expiring contracts Morris, Kanter, Mudiay, etc.

Cavs get compensated with the Knicks pick, the Kings pick from Boston, and a couple other firsts thrown in from Boston.

If he's serious about winning more titles then Boston is his only option. They have a good mix of youth and vets, depth, versatility, another (likely) Top 5 pick next summer, and a great coach. Kyrie is movable though Hayward will probably dicier given he's coming off the injury and makes north of $30m annually. You want to envision a smallball, versatile, switch-everything lineup: LeBron, Brown, Tatum, Hayward, Horford.

I don't see HOU as a realistic option from a financial perspective. I don't see the Lakers being a threat even if PG-13 joins him there. Philly seems too young overall and there are the questions of Embiid's health and LeBron co-existing with Simmons.
