That being said, he can back up The Fro. His best days are way behind him and he’ll be gone in a year so I’m not expecting much from him next season. Defensively he’ll be a solid improvement over Timo by far, who didn’t do himself any favors with his crying to the Press these last few days.
SN: I’ll be $100 that he takes at least 50 3pointers next year.[emoji23]#RespectTheCultureComment

So we get a worse player, with a longer, worse contract, and two worthless draft picks.
New GM. Same ****. Wtf is this team doing. Just trade Kemba and go full process already.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

But..they trade kemba and go draft a guy who never turns into someone worth giving minutes to because hornets will hornets
Kawhi reportedly telling teams he is only signing with Lakers or Clippers so does this make LAL/LAC the favorite for lebron and or PG now?Comment

Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
Who saw this coming.... And you know not many teams are going to test the "we can change his mind" attempt because he just pulled this stunt with the Spurs of all teams. But the Spurs saying they won't trade him to the West. Wonder how all this plays out.Comment

Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
If I'm a team in the east, I'd find out what the Lakers/Clippers trade offer for him would be. Go to the Spurs, find out what they want for him, and if they want less than what the east team will be getting from LA, then do the deals.Comment

Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
on a funny note the hornets GM who just traded for moz is the same one who gave him the big contract with the lakers. I know everyone hates Dwight but he averaged 16.6 points and 12.5 rebounds last year and then the year before in atlanta he was well over a double and set the franchise record for FG %. I know he doesn't shoot 3's its not like he is useless and some kind of bum. He also has a contract that comes off 1 year before Mozgov. The hornets might be in the worst spot for a rebuild of any team in the league.
For the 2k people here the CPU about to win with the nets with those 2 max FA slots after next year.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
First let me say that something is wrong with a player if they really want to play with the Lakers or Clippers over the Spurs. Either that or something big is in the works. If the Lakers are going to for all three of KL, LeBron and George, then I believe Kawhi would have to be traded after the other two sign. So we're likely in for another few weeks of this... buckle up buckaroos. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
Most guys who want to play for the lakers/clippers are either from the LA area, which I dont blame because its home, or want to bring back showtime.
If im the spurs im taking whatever i can get for kawhi instead of letting him walk...and if im either LA team im not trading for him because he is going to sign there anyways, and why lose pieces you dont have to.
Spurs should ship him to charlotte for kemba, lamb, kaminsky and a pick.
Should he get traded to LAL id think its for randle sign and trade with kuzma, or to LAC for deandre, bevs, and dekker going to spurs for kawhi+gasolComment

Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
You can always take a gamble like OKC did on George who now is having serious thoughts about reupping because of the organization and Westbrook basically cheerleading for him. Or just sit Pat and do nothing. I honestly feel that yes Kawhi is a transcendental talent but guys can change when they get where they "want" or get elsewhere. (See Dwight Howard and the Lakers, then signing with the Rockets in the off season). I personally would not give up any assets if I'm Philly or Boston because yes you have a chance that season changes his mind, but he can just as easily walk. Not worth it especially with no extension. If no extension (which I doubt he would do because of the money) then you have to sweat through free agency which again, just isn't worth it in my non-GM opinion.Comment

Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
As for LeBron/PG13, I don't think either of them will go to the Clippers but we'll see. Seems like people are beginning to lean towards PG13 re-signing with OKC and it sounds like LeBron is still open to giving Cleveland a chance to miraculously acquire more legit running mates but I still expect him to be gone somewhere.NFL: Bills

Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread
I think the clippers make the most sense honestly. Prevents the next super team on the lakers, and you could get pick 12+13 plus players and the spurs only really have 3-4 decent players if they trade kawhi, so that fills a lot of holes, especially if they can get bevs...hed be the PERFECT spur.
I just don't understand why a team that is trying to rebuild would trade an expiring contract for legitimately nothing unless they are trying to go for 2020 free agency and #1 pick next 2 years...Comment

Dawg...that was my first thought when I seen this. He would’ve been a Net if he didn’t opt in to his contract like a dummy.
