    Re: NBA Draft 2019

This dude is toying with people at the collegiate level. His defensive abilities continue to be criminally ignored. In an era where so many teams/fans/media are obsessed with two-way players, I don't know why Zion isn't being discussed as having DPOY potential. His potential as a switching and rotating menace at the next level is something we've never seen from someone so young.

I love his ability to see things one play ahead as well as his anticipation instincts. The ball never sticks in his hands.

I like this approach. It's good for our mental health; start picking a favorite to win the lottery since we know there's no chance it'll be us.

I'm slowly coming around on the Zion hype myself. Actually getting excited to see him at the next level. And I 2nd the post about him going to Atlanta would be much watch basketball.

Yall now I would be all about Zion coming to Atlanta, but its not going to happen. We would probably trade the pick if we got it since Zion can't shoot.

            That'd work for me lol.

I'm at the point where I'd want the Knicks to trade up if (when) they don't win the lottery. If we can go from say #3 to #1 with a pick swap, one of Dallas' firsts, Knox, and if needed our 2022 or 2023 first I'd do it. I'm that sold on him.

Wouldn't matter if everyone else on the floor could lol... Trae and Huerter splash bros 2.0, Zion is a Draymond that gets you 20&10 lol.

Kenpom was actually on the radio this morning on DC taking about how good his defense is. He said it was the key to Duke winning the title this year and like you said, something that hardly gets any love from pundits.

Suns landing the top pick, and trading it to the Lakers for a pick swap with Lonzo and Kuzma lol.

Lakers will have Ingram, LeBron, Zion, and a top free agent this year.

KenPom always coming correct. His impact/presence on the floor is impressive. At one point early on Duke was +14 with him on the court and -3 with him off it. He makes so much happen.

Yeah man. He’s a local DC/MD/Va guy I think so he’s on as a regular during the CBB season.

Agreed about Zion’s impact. He also seems like he has the right mentality too. Selfless.

                        What’s the knock on Barrett?

                        Lack of explosiveness?

For real, while were in the age of lottery reform; you shouldn't be allowed to win the lottery in back to back years.

                            It's the hustle for me.

When people are saying he shouldn't come back. I laugh. People don't know Zion. Look at this play be low.

That's one of the first things that stood out to me. Dude is NOT a diva. He plays hard, keeps his head down, and goes to work. His motor is ridiculous. He doesn't force things and fits into an offense well - moves the ball and makes quick decisions.

Shooting, consistency, figuring out how good of a playmaker he really is, bit of a rigid athlete. There's a ton of debate in this thread about him.

Separately, are you still following the Hoyas closely? My interest in college hoops has been relegated to scouting future pros and that's about it. Suffering through the occasional UConn game.

Hey, you know the Nets never got the #1 pick after we lost 70 games, 10 years ago.

I think the league still owes us from that.
